I'd like to crawl our ecommerce site to see how deep (clicks from home page) pages are. I want to verify that every category, sub-category, and product detail page is within three clicks of the home page for googlebot.

      Suggestions?

      Thanks!

        How it works:

After crawling a website with Screaming Frog, export the data into one of the three available file formats (.csv, .xls, or .xlsx).
Copy all of the data from the Screaming Frog worksheet (starting in cell A4) into cell A2 of the ‘data’ sheet of this analysis workbook.

        • The easiest way to copy all the data is to click cell A4, the use Ctrl + Shift + RIGHT to select all columns of data.
        • Then Ctrl + Shift + DOWN to select all rows of data.
        • Then use Ctrl + C to copy the selected cells.
        • Go to the data sheet of this workbook and Ctrl + V to paste that data into cell A2.
        • Pasting the data into cell A2 will align all the data with the column headers I already have in row 1.

If this data does not align properly, then there is an added or missing column of data which you will need to adjust for in the ‘data’ spreadsheet.

        Report tab

The reporting tab is set up to make customizing this report for each website as easy as possible.

        Hope it helps you.

Screaming Frog is my go-to crawler.  One of the many data points it provides is page level. Level 0 is home page, level 1 is one-click from the start, etc...

It's an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to check on a vast range of crawl efficiency and SEO factors.

Is one page with long content better than multiple pages with shorter content?

(Note, the site links are from a sandbox site and has very low DA or PA) If you look at this page, you will see at the bottom a lengthy article detailing all of the properties of the product categories in the links above. http://www.aspensecurityfasteners.com/Screws-s/432.htm My question is, is there more SEO value in having the one long article in the general product category page, or in breaking up the content and moving the sub-topics as content to the more specific sub-category pages? e.g. http://www.aspensecurityfasteners.com/Screws-Button-Head-Socket-s/1579.htm

A tool to tell a websites estimated traffic

I am new to Moz (as a member), so I am not sure if Moz has a tool that I need. I don't want this post to be about self promotion, so I will keep it short. Our business helps increase conversions and sales for online businesses. Our ideal prospects belongs to some key categories of businesses like ecommerce, saas etc. However, I would like to know the estimated volume of traffic for a website before approaching them and introducing our service. So if there was a tool I could use to estimate the volume of visitors a specific website receives on average a day or month, it would be hugely beneficial.Obviously, these are prospective clients, so we do not have access to their system or their analytics. I just want to get an estimate. So for example, if I entered the domain abc.com into the system, I would hope it could tell me, that abc.com gets an average of 900 unique visitors a day. I don't need too much detail like geographic locations etc, but it would be a bonus having that additional information. I also don't mind paying for a tool that's quality. So it doesn't have to be free.

Domain / Page Authority - logarithmic

SEOmoz says their Domain / Page Authority is logarithmic, meaning that lower rankings are easier to get, higher rankings harder to get. Makes sense. But does anyone know what logarithmic equation they use? I'm using the domain and page authority as one metric in amongst other metrics in my keyword analysis. I can't have some metrics linear, others exponential and the SEOmoz one logarithmic.

How to check Page Authority in bulk?

Hey guys, I'm on the free trial for SEOmoz PRO and I'm in love. One question, though. I've been looking all over the internet for a way to check Page Authority in bulk. Is there a way to do this? Would I need the SEOmoz API? And what is the charge? All I really need is a way to check Page Authority in bulk--no extra bells and whistles. Thanks, Brandon
