      Hi Guys,

I am moving from old version of tag manager to new version of tag manager. But when i do so at that time in my google analytic 1) my adwords transaction, revenue and ecommerce conversion rate stop showing. 2) In ecommerce -overview also transaction, revenenue and ecommermce conversion rate stop showing.

Can any one tell me what is the issue?

I am sharing with you the details configuration of my old tag manager and new version of tag manager -

      1. I am using google analytic having id - UA-12345678-9

      2. I am using old version of google tag manager in that i have configure 5 tags -

      a) google adwords conversion tracking
      b) GA pageview tracking
      c) google remarketing
      d) GA conversion tracking
      e) twitter conversion tracking

I did following configuration for all -

      1. Tag Name - google adwords conversion tracking
tag type - Adwords conversion tracking
        conversion id - 123123123 ( from adwords)
        conversion lable - sdfsnfs-sfsf ( from adowrds)

      Firing rule -{{url}} contains ordersuccessful.aspx
      {{event}} equals gtm.dom

      save

      1. Google Analytic PageView Tracking
Tag Type - classic Google Analytic
        web properid id - UA-12345678-9
        track type - page view

      Firing rule - all pages

      save

      1. GA conversion Tracking
tag type - classic google analytics
        web property id - UA-12345678-9
        track type - transaction

      Firing rule -{{url}} contains ordersuccessful.aspx
      {{event}} equals gtm.dom

By above configuration everything work fine with google analytic.

In New versoin of tag mananger following configuration i did -

      1. Adwords conversion tracking
        Choose Product - Google Adwords
choose tag type - adwords conversion tracking
configure tag - conversion id - taken from adwords
conversion label - taken from adwords
        conversion value - {{google_conversion_value}}
        Fire on -

      Name - order successful page
      type - custom event
      Filter- Page url contains ordersuccessful.aspx
      event equals gtm.dom

      save

      1. Choose Product - Google Analytic,
choose tag type - universal analytic
configure tag - tracking id - UA-12345678-9, track type - page view

      Fire on - All pages

      save

      1. GA conversion tracking

      Choose Product - Google Analytic,
choose tag type - universal analytic
configure tag - tracking id - UA-12345678-9, track type - transaction

      Fire on -

      Name - order successful page
      type - custom event
      Filter- Page url contains ordersuccessful.aspx

By above configuration my analytic stop reflecting transaction, revenue, ecommerce conversion rate for adwords and ecommerce overview.

Hey! I am going to try to help. I haven't seen this issue either, but I'll try to work through it with you. First, a few questions.

          1. Are you using Universal Analytics? It doesn't seem so based on your answers above, but I wanted to verify.
          2. The tag manager change you mean is for the new updated interface mentioned here, right: http://analytics.blogspot.com/2014/10/making-tag-management-more-accessible.html
          3. Is your AdWords account still attached to your Analytics account? Stupid question, but have to check to be sure.

              Hey Dev Dan! 🙂

Sorry for the late response times on my end. I know that has to be really frustrating. I've not had the opportunity to oversee the issues with switching to GTM so I've asked that we find someone else who may be able to help you. Hang in there! Hopefully we have someone who has run into a similar issue.

Adwords Duplicate Keywords with Different Match Types - Good or Bad?

If you have the following keywords in an Ad Group advertising for a product, let's for example call it "target" product [target product] "target product" +target +product I've found that the exact match keyword has the highest conversion rate in almost all circumstances.  So it would make sense to have a higher max bid on the exact match then phrase or broad batch.  Even with lots of negative search terms to maximize conversion on the broader matches, if the bid is the same as exact match, the cost per conversion will be much higher (too high.) However in chatting with an Adwords Support Rep (on a different matter) they stated after looking through my account at the end of the chat: " duplicate keywords will impact on quality score. your all keywords will compete with each other" However many of the ad groups in question these duplicate keywords have quality score of 9 and 10.  So obviously if there is an effect it seems it may be minimal. I thought it was pretty common for people to bid higher on more exact match and lower on more broad match.  What's the real story here?  Was this support rep not seeing the big picture?

Will pausing my AdWords PPC campaigns impact my organic rankings?

Over 95% of my revenue comes from organic search; less than 5% comes from AdWords PPC (all other sources account for about 1-2%). My ROI on AdWords is roughly zero. It's negative if you include opportunity costs. My question is: if I pause all of my AdWords campaigns, is there ANY chance that my organic rankings (and organic click-through rates) will suffer? This is really two questions. First, could Google retaliate to my reduced ad spending by dropping my rankings? Second, will searchers think differently about my organic link if they don't also see the accompanying paid link on the SERP?

Adwords negative keywords / keyword lists conflicting?

Does any of you had any experience on large 5k+ shared negative keyword lists impacting normal campaign negative keywords in Adwords even if they are not selected on these campaigns? And a second question; does anyone know how selected negative keyword lists can be removed from a campaign? I seem to be able to add them but not to remove them... Cheers!

OK to have a modal pop-up on an AdWords landing page?

We're about to launch an AdWords campaign targeting users who are searching for hand-crafted furniture. The website we're sending users to has a large inventory of furniture, and all if it is hand-crafted. But there currently is no page on the site specifically communicating that all the furniture on the site is hand-crafted. So, rather than dump the user right into browsing the inventory, we want to put an intermediate step in place to say, in essence, "Hey, welcome, yes, we have lots of handcrafted furniture. In fact, all of it is hand-crafted. Here, have a look around." The art director on the project is suggesting that a modal pop-up would be perfect for this scenario. It would greet the user, who could then dismiss the pop-up and move into the site. I have two concerns about using a modal, though: Does a modal violate Google's policy against pop-ups that open new windows? Assuming we trigger the modal using Javascript, will AdsBot have any trouble crawling the content of the modal, such that it could hurt the landing page component of our quality score?

Paid Search Visits Not Showing Up in Google Analytics

Hey all, Just took over SEM for my company, and noticed a bit of a problem with GA. Whereas Adwords has registered 141 clicks on paid campaigns that go to the site, GA has tracked only 5 vists in that time. Two things of note: The GA account was not linked to the Adwords account until today, and also, auto-tagging was not turned on. I understand these two things are important to having proper GA tracking, but I just want to make sure that there aren't any other things I should check right now to make sure I start to see tracked paid visits again. Is there anything else I should try? Cheers.

How Can I Target Certain Countries in Google AdWords without Excluding Other Countries?

So, here is the situation: Our company works with merchants worldwide (with the exception of those who live in excluded high-risk countries--mostly in Africa), but most of our Google AdWords leads come from Indian merchants. My CEO wants our campaigns to convert leads from other countries (i.e., the UK, Germany, US, Canada, Australia, etc.), but I have no idea how to do that without excluding India. However, my CEO does not want to exclude India from our AdWords campaigns as the leads are profitable. We simply want more diversity with out leads in terms of geographic location. I am sure there are resources on the Web about how to do this, but I am not an Adwords expert and am unsure of what phrases to search to find the answers. Direct advice or helpful links are much appreciated. Regards,
                        Meghan

                        Adwords Bulk Discount

Had a few calls recently from agencies offering bulk discount on Google Adwords spends if we pass management over to them and spend more than £5,000 ($7,500) a month, they claim they can offer a 5% discount over what we're currently paying... Can't find anything about this, does Google offer such a deal to agencies?
