SEO time
-
I wanto to be in the top of the google search. I am usiing a lot of SEO tools but... I have done it during one month. Do I have to wait more?
-
You are right but my niche is very competitive. I think that I am going to use google adds and Facebook adds to improve the visits in my website.
How many time do you think that i need to wait to see results?
Thanks for all friend.
Regards

Carlos, I agree with the others. If you are trying to get results today, then I would run a PPC campaign. If you can't afford PPC hen I would try to rank for some long tail keywords that have some traffic. Go for the low hanging fruit and as you build your website up you can rank for more competitive keywords later. Depending on your niche, I would also consider social ads. Hope this helps. One month to rank for most keywords isn't realistic but if you are consistently doing it right, you should see some traction sooner in a few months unless its ultra competitive. So go through the back door and look at some long tail keywords.

Thanks friend! I am going to use Google Ads to improve now, and later, I am going to continue with SEO.
-
I do that. Thanks!

If you are in a hurry, adwords/ppc is probably your best go to tool. SEO is likely to take too much time.
-
Carlos, from my experience its a time consuming process which can take a quite a bit of time, how much time varies as others have mentioned, depending on your industry, target market and a how SEO wise your competitors are. As well as how many and what resources you have available to invest in terms of time and money into key ingredients like developing unique relevant content and partnership building for link generation etc.
I would at least wait it out for at least 6-7 months whilst monitoring ranking changes which I would hope are generally heading in a positive direction for target terms, before I start asking questions about my strategy. So I think 1 month is way too soon assuming you are looking at some high traffic/competition terms to rank for.
All the best though

Then , we will work to the maximum to fight in the leading positions in google
-
Carlos, I will take a look and send you a PM.
In general there is no quick way for SEO (if you want to play it safe), especially if we are talking about a competitive market.
-
Thanks for your answer Keszi! But, When you are in a hurry? There is not a tool to improve it?
-
Hi Carlos,
SEO in general isn't a black&white, "I implement and it is working" science. The results will appear with time.
If I had to compare SEO I'd do it like this: It is an ongoing&endless chess game, with unlimited number of players who can move at the same time. And there is Google from the other hand, who can change the rules of the game at any point.
Seeing results in this industry (or as you have mentioned it: SEO time) will be quite different with every project. Because it doesn't only depend on you and/or Google. There are the other websites who are constantly evolving and developing.
I hope you will see your results soon.
Keszi

Gallery maintenance and the effect on SEO
Basically we get a lot of users uploading photos as part of their review, but many photos aren't moderated into our pages and therefore are never displayed. Things like selfies rather than photos of the product or just random google images that are completely unrelated to our products or services. Is there any benefit in cleaning up the gallery since some images we don't use are just sat there in admin?

Lightboxes and SEO
Do lightboxes (AKA popup boxes when you click "learn more" type CTAs) have any negative effect on SEO? We are looking at revamping our sites to have more of a tiled approach, and a lightbox with summary content popping out with additional CTAs, directing to pages with more information or free trial pages. Is there any downside to this approach from an organic perspective? is there anything specific to keep in mind when creating these if not?

Merging Pages and SEO
Hi, We are redesigning our website the following way: Before: Page A with Content A, Page B with Content B, Page C with Content C, etc
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | viatrading1
e.g. one page for each Customer Returns, Overstocks, Master Case, etc
Now: Page D with content A + B + C etc.
e.g. one long page containing all Product Conditions, one after the other So we are merging multiples pages into one.
What is the best way to do so, so we don't lose traffic? (or we lose the minimum possible) e.g. should we 301 Redirect A/B/C to D...?
Is it likely that we lose significant traffic with this change? Thank you,0 -
Getting SEO Juice back after Redirect
Hi, On my website, many product pages were redirected over time to its product category, due to the product being unavailable. I understand with a 301 redirect, the final URL would have lost about 15% of the link juice. However - if after some time (e.g. 2 months, or 1 year) I remove the redirection - is the original page going to have any SEO juice, or did it already lose all of it? Thanks,

Do links in the nav bar help SEO?
If I am building a Nav bar should I use my keywords or make it easier for the user to find what they are looking for. IMO one should ALWAYS make a site based on user experience. If it Google and other SEs do count Nav links, would it be best to place more important keys first?
