Has anyone had issues with Bazaarvoice and schema.org?
-
About a year ago we started using Bazaarvoice to get reviews for our products, and it has been great as far as accumulating content, but Google is not taking the schema.org data and displaying it on the SERP. Someone has told me it is because we are offering multiple products, or that our schema.org tags are incorrect but when I compare our code to other travel sites it seems like everyone is doing something different. This is especially annoying since the Google schema markup check says everything is fine.
Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences? Thanks.

Hi Justin,
Some of our team picked up on this question and asked me to send you a quick response.
In Schema.org markup, you only should declare one product per page, and you have two. Although the Rich Snippets testing tool will say the markup is “All good”, Rich Snippets will not show in the SERP. Then, it looks like your individual reviews aren’t nested correctly inside of the schema.org/Product tag – that could be causing an issue as well.
We’ll follow up with you through our Support team! Definitely want to get this working with you.

Hey,
This is actually Justin Harney (in house SEO) posting. I'll have to change the account name to represent that. Richard is the CEO here.
Here is an example of two sites (the first one is ours) where reviews are not appearing in SERPs vs.one of our competitors where they are:
our site: http://www.tripcentral.ca/vacations-packages_00_03_MO_gran-bahia-principe-jamaica.html
competitor example: http://www.cheapcaribbean.com/deals/grand-bahia-principe-jamaica-deals.html

Hi Richard,
Are you able to share the site we're talking about here? That would make it easier for us to help you with feedback on the specific example.

Schema.org implementation for physician's office vs physician herself?
Hi, Regarding schema.org microdata, which page(s) should have the microdata? 1) http://schema.org/Physician -- appears to be about the office. Since we have all of the contact/address info in the footer on each page, should we do the same with microdata? I can't seem to find a suggested implementation on schema.org Assuming an office has multiple MDs, how should the docs be listed since the physician schema appears to be for the office, not for the individual doctors? Thanks for any insight!

Targeting by IP Address... SEO Issues?
I'm setting up a site to display a different site header graphic depending on which U.S. State the IP address is coming from. In theory we may end up doing 50 different images, although we'll probably start with 4 or 5 and then the other states will get a "default". How will the SE's treat this... if it's just an image change, but the text on the page is the same, will it affect anything? Any best practice advice out there? thanks!

Image Sitemap Indexing Issue
Hello Folks, I've been running into some strange issues with our XML Sitemaps. The XML Sitemaps won't open on a browser and it throws the following error instead of opening the XML Sitemap. Sample XML Sitemap - www.veer.com/sitemap/images/Sitemap0.xml.gzError - "XML Parsing Error: no element foundLocation: http://www.veer.com/sitemap/images/Sitemap0.xmlLine Number 1, Column 1:"2) Image files are not getting indexed. For instance, the sitemap - www.veer.com/sitemap/images/Sitemap0.xml.gz has 6,000 URLs and 6,000 Images. However, only 3,481 URLs and 25 images are getting indexed. The sitemap formatting seems good, but I can't figure out why Google's de-indexing the images and only 50-60% of the URLs are getting indexed. Thank you for your help!

Does anyone have any tips for SEO in WebSphere Portal with Lotus WCM?
Hi I'm working on performing SEO on a portal that's implemented on WebSphere Portal with Lotus WCM. Now WebSphere Portal comes with some limitations such as non-pretty urls among other things. Portal also generates non-normalized urls, so you have to turn on a process for detecting and normalizing urls for the Googlebot, etc. Does anyone have any experience with SEO in this platform, and could offers me a few tips for this specific platform? Is there any issue with using the same structured data property multiple times on the same page?
Im working on implementing structured data properties into my product detail pages. (http://schema.org/Book) My site sells books and many books have both a 13 digit ISBN # and a 10 Digit ISBN. Should I apply the itemprop "isbn" to both of them or just the one with higher search volume? Some books also have multiple authors, how should I handle that?
