How to market spiritual, product, and service site on very low budget
-
Hello,
How would you recommend marketing this site? We write all sorts of intelligent articles, healing articles, have a Shaman who sells healing services, are on the forefront of product development in our field, sell products, and will eventually make money through ads as well. We are about to add a few products such as orgonite, see here, t-shirts, and we want to promote the services of this person whose writings are on this page. We're adding a thorough local and distance healing page (soon to come) for that person (Earth Thunder). Our donate page is here. We give away 30% of our products as gifts.
Our Facebook page is here.
We are barely getting started. How would you recommend doing on-site SEO, marketing, and content for this site? Any other suggestions you have would be very welcome. I'm finding it challenging since we're so unique.
Thanks.

Got rid of the pervy quest.
How do you recommend we organize the site? And what do you mean by URLs are all over the place? We have one blog because some people are going to want a wide range of topics - the theory of everything - but maybe I can feature each separate blog at the top of the single blog and tie them together.
I'll tie together the home page and get rid of the stock images. What would you recommend for the design of the home page?
After you answer and I adjust, will you take a second look? Appreciate it if you would
Thanks, good response,
Bob

Have you journeyed to Seattle and tried meditating in the Moz break room while holding a Roger plushie until security escorts you out? (sorry, I couldn't resist)
First off, you need to better organize your site. It's not horrible, but the URLs are all over the place. Blogs are smashed together onto single pages. Content is disjointed.
Second... pervy quest? What? You need people to take your site seriously and dangling the prospect of NSFW imagery isn't going to help that (and might get you added to some domain filter lists). Don't play up the "naked" part. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to use that word.
Third... what is the site about? It's not obvious from a quick glance at the front page. Theory of Everything? That's cool but... what was I doing here again? You need a better design (too many stock images and cut out the rotating images as it distracts from the page) and you need some focus. All the content needs to pull in the same direction. What is it they want visitors to leave with? (besides a crystal bauble)

How to make this informational site successful
Hello, We've got a problem with one of our sites. Our main writer is too advanced for the mainstream SERPs. She is a genius at what she does and really writes beyond where the mainstream looks. Way beyond. I can't even ask her to dumb down, it doesn't make sense. I don't think we're going to hit any of the main (mainstream) keywords with this site because of it, which is fine, but what advice do you have to making money off ads with content like that? There doesn't even really exist keywords for her articles. It's hard to explain. The traffic will be small because the audience is large enough if we got the whole thing but small compared with mainstream. I think mainly experts will understand her. The area of writing is conspiracy, fringe, ancient knowledge, progressive science, healing, consciousness, spirituality. I guess I'm wondering what you guys would do. It would be great if this site could make a good income. She's been studying the topic nonstop for fifteen years. Thanks.

Is there an SEO benefit/drawback to streaming social media to your site?
I understand how streaming social media, especially if you have a great social media community, can be effective in terms of capturing customers. However, I'm purely interested in knowing what it does for SEO. For example, does streaming social media make it look like your home page (or whatever page(s) has it) are constantly being updated? Or, does streaming g+ have a positive effect but facebook not so much? Or, does it have a negative effect for whatever reason that might be? Thanks, Ruben

How can i make our social network site rank higher?
Our site is currently not in the first 3 pages of Google. it is a social networking site that requires users to login/ register. Much of the content is therefore user generated and is as diverse as the users themselves. The problem is that SEOmoz crawler is not even picking up the keywords i inserted into the site. Does this mean that Google is not even picking them up as well? Our site is www.yookos.com

How to Start a Social Networking Site
I am thinking about starting a niche social networking site. My question is how big of a team would I need, how much up front costs would I incur and what specific coding languages would my team need to be well versed in? I'm thinking HTML, CSS, php, MySQL but are there any other languages needed for this type of endeavor ?

How to determinate current site situation?
Sorry for probably stupid question. But we are asking it ourself during last few month and can't make a decision. After reading this article (http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whats-better-on-page-seo-or-link-building) it is hard to say which case is for us. We have the eCommerce site, but we are using category pages in addition to eCommerce. So we put on this page images, specifications and videos for a bunch of products. On the specific product page from eCommers we have only general information about products and a canonical tag that goes to the category page described above. This was done to avoid duplication content for similar products. So we concentrated on these main category pages. SEOmoz shows to us: Duplicate Page Content - 179 (why is canonical tag not working?),
Social Media | | ctam
Duplicate Page Title - 746 (why is canonical tag not working?), Long URL (> 115 characters) - 117
Temporary Redirect - 1,306(eCommerce login redirect)
Title Element Too Short - 63
Title Element Too Long (> 70 Characters) - 2,357(why is canonical tag not working?),
Too Many On-Page Links - 616
Missing Meta Description Tag - 873(why is canonical tag not working?), For main pages, on-page reports look like: Factor Overview
Critical Factors 4 / 4
High Importance Factors 4 / 7
Moderate Importance Factors 8 / 9
Low Importance Factors 7 / 11
Optional Factors 3 / 5 And according to SEOmoz we have 7,865 External Followed Links So please help us to decide which case from article is the best for us. Thank you. Duplicate Page Title0 -

Will becoming a YouTube partner get me higher rankings on the site?
One of the branded channels I run has been offered to be apart of YouTube's Partnership program. Trick is - I don't necessarily want to see ads pop up for my videos, as I imagine the revenue is fairly small. I would be wiling to join the program if there is evidence that joining the program helps our rankings on YouTube. I imagine it may - as YouTube likely would give preference for partnered channels, partly due to ad/revenue opportunities for them, and partly because partners have obviously proven to have better content. What do you guys recommend?
