Mozscape API - Keyword Rankings?
-
Hi, I'm using the free access to the Mozscape API and while I'm still a novice about what data the Mozscape API can pull I can't seem to figure how to pull the keyword rankings for my campaigns. I reviewed https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-api/mozscape/api-reference/url-metrics but can't seem to find what value I need to call.
Can someone guide me in the right direction or is this something only the paid version has access to?

Hello Ian-- It's been a few years since this post, I'm curious for updates! Does the Mozscape API include search volume yet? Are there plans to? I've been struggling to write a scraper that would do this for me, an API would certainly simplify things.

Hi Ian -- Wanted to check back on status of the API for keyword data (including rankings). Is this something that is still planned? Any timeframe? I'm getting ready to embark on a project to import rankings data into our internal dashboard tool, and I'm wondering if I'll be forever stuck with manually importing .csv files. Thanks in advance for any updates you can provide!

Great to hear the product is adding new features and that the API support for rank checking is in the backlog. Love the functionality, but the service does not scale without volume rank checking. I can work with the current export functionality, but the API will help automate tasks to support more customers. I'll stay tuned for the updates.

We have been working to get a new large piece of functionality out for the Keyword Explorer tool, this has lead to a delay in the External API for our Keyword data. This new feature is in the homestretch and once that is complete, exposing that data is the next step.

Hi, It's a year later, and I was researching the same issue. Can you confirm if there is a Keyword Explorer API for pro subscribers? Thanks.

Hey There,
Unfortunately Keywords Data is not available via the Mozscape API. The Mozscape API houses the data from our Index, which is centered around Links Data and our Metrics derived from that data (Domain Authority, Page Authority, MozRank, etc). We do have a Keywords API that is not yet up on our website, however there is no Free Access for it at this time.
If you have any other questions about the Mozscape or Keywords API, feel free to reach out to me at IanW@Moz.com.
Cheers!

How to cost is calculated in Moz API for fetching only backlinks
I am unable to understand which particular API used to get the backlinks. And how cost is calculated. Suppose I Hit the API one time it gave me 100 backlinks of a particular domain. Does that mean i used 100 rows?

API for discovered and lost linking domains
Hello, Currently you do not have discovered and lost metrics available via the Links API, maybe there are some workaround to get this metrics? For us, it is very important to use API, or calculate it some mathematics way. Thank!

Is Moz's rank checker driving referals (and bounces) in my analytics?
I see 200+ referral visits per month from "rank-checker.online" and they all bounce with one second session durations. Are these bounces hurting my SEO? They are definitely distorting my referral metrics. Can I block them somehow?

Mozscape Index update frequency problems?
I'm new to Moz, only a member for a couple months now. But I already rely heavily on the mozscape index data for link building, as I'm sure many people do. I've been waiting for the latest update (due today after delay), but am not seeing any mention of the data yet - does it normally get added later in the day? I'm not that impatient that I can't wait until later today or tomorrow for this index update, but what I am curious about is whether Moz is struggling to keep up, and if updates will continue to get more and more rare? For example, in 2013 I count 28 index updates. In 2014 that number dropped to 14 updates (50% drop). In 2015, there was only 8 (another 43% drop), and so far this year (until the March 2nd update is posted) there has only been 1. This isn't just a complaint about updates, I'm hoping to get input from some of the more experienced Moz customers to better understand (with the exception of the catastrophic drive failure) the challenges that Moz is facing and what the future may hold for update frequency.

Lost many links and keyword ranks since moz index update
Hi All, I came back from work today from a week off to find my site has gone from 681 external inbound links to 202. With this my domain authority, moz trust and moz rank have all also taken a slip. Compounding this, I am seeing a slip most of my keywords rankings. If i try to use the open site explorer to explore my links and see what going on i get the message It looks like we haven't discovered link data for this site or URL. If i check the just discovered links like it suggests I get It looks like there's no Just-Discovered Links data for this URL yet. I know these features worked before the index as i used them. Is this all attributable to the moz index issues that have been noted or could something have happened to my site? Since i started 2 months ago I have made many changes including... Updating the site map that was 4 years out of date and included 400 broken urls Removed blank pages and other useless webpages on the site that contained no content (from the previous administrator) Edited a few pages content from keyword spammy stuff to nicely written and relevant content Fixed url rewrites that made loops and un-accessible product pages All these changes should be for the better but the latest readings have me a little worried. Thanks.

Is it true that google moved to ssl encrypted protocol and doesn't release keyword data anymore?
Hi,
API | | jjtech
I have a couple trivial questions regarding google search and the way Moz keyword reports are working. 1/ is it true that google moved to ssl encrypted protocol and doesn't release keyword data anymore? 2/ if so than how Moz still manages to collect this data? Is it because of api or some other “deal” with them? Or you're paying for it. 3/ Why is “traffic from organic search” only for one week? Or I am missing something . http://screencast.com/t/rslio5ZSKAx It would be great to:
a/ go month by month (my client is requiring monthly reports)
b/ compare one week/month with another to see if it's getting better or worse. Thanks in advance,

Cannot get the API to work when using an EC2 server
Hi I've created a script that I'd like to use to check a list of domains using the Moz API. It works totally fine on my local machine. However, when I run it from my EC2 instance, it fails every time. To be specific, the response is always empty (the response is an empty json array) when the request is sent from EC2. Is, for some reason, EC2 blocked by the Moz API? Many thanks for your help, Andrew
