Links to Your Site: No Data Available in Google Search Console
-
The site I am working on did not have their site submitted to Google Search Console (formerly Google Webmaster Tools). I submitted the site and a sitemap that auto updates. Google is crawling the site daily (about 30 pages a day). Under Search Traffic > Links to Your Site it shows no data is availible. I thought it was because it was a newly submitted site, but it has been two months now.
Moz seems to have the same issue. Moz does show inbound links, but their are some that we think should really help us that are not shown. For instance, the Dallas Morning News wrote this article. They have a high DA and PA. Also, iliveindallas.com has an article about us that is still on the front page. That was a few weeks ago but also does not show up on Moz or Google SC.
We are trying to be selective about the links we are getting. That they are follow links from reputable sites. Worried that both Google and Moz are not showing them.

Yes I agree with Paul, the www and non-www are still resolving separately, this needs to be fixed and is part of your problem, assuming the site in question is TapGoods which you never confirmed.
-
Still have a major problem though! The www and non-www of the https versions of the site are both resolving separately, which means you're badly splitting your link equity. That's also likely why different sites are linking to different URL versions. Need to get the non-canonical version 301-redirected poste-haste. (Make sure you haven't created chained redirects in the process.)
You'll also want to combine all those versions of the site in a Property Set to properly amalgamate their data. Property Sets will treat all URIs from the properties included as a single presence in the Search Analytics feature.
Hope that helps?
Paul

OK. I am an idiot. The first step is admitting I have a problem, which I gladly will do.
So we have https://, https://www, http://, and http://www. I only had one of these set up in Google Search Console because we were trying to just use one. Even though those links were to https:// they showed up in https://www. Should I set up all of these with Moz?
-
One of the links in question is from a major news source in a major market. It is the biggest newspaper in Dallas. It is also more than 30 days old, so I would be shocked if Google hasn't crawled the article. We have gotten a good deal of traffic from it.
I will check out Google support site you linked to. Thanks!

The site is using https. www redirects to non-www. Search console is also https. Additionally the links I am looking for all use https. Everything seems to be https without the www. So not sure why we are not seeing the recent inbound links.

Hi There!
This is certainly strange that Google Search Console is not showing your backlinks.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Google's crawlers don't go out searching for your backlinks. If it happens to find one then it will include it in your overview on GSC
- Backlinks from more popular pages with more authority will be found more easily by Google's crawlers
If you are still having issues with this then I would suggest going to Google directly! Use this link to get help directly from Google: https://support.google.com/webmasters/troubleshooter/2483183
Hope this helps!

The first thing that comes to mind is if you have the correct version of the URL in Search Console. It's best to have both versions of the URL, both the www and non-www version.
Assuming it's the company linked in the article, you should be using the non-www version in Search Console. Without seeing the configuration in there myself it's hard to know exactly the issue. Actually when trying both versions of the site, assuming it's TG, both versions (www and non-www) which is not ideal - you should have one redirect to the other!
You're right, Moz's OSE doesn't show any links [see screenshot 1].
But in Ahrefs it shows a bunch of domains [see screenshot 2].
I still don't see the Dallas News links in Ahrefs either, so you may want to check another backlink source like Majestic to see if they have it.
It's strange that Search Console wouldn't pick it up, which leads me to believe it's something off with the Search Console view. Be sure you're looking at the https:// version of the site as well.

GOOGLE ANALYTIC SKEWED DATA BECAUSE OF GHOST REFERRAL SPAM ND CRAWL BOTS
Hi Guys, We are having some major problems with our Google Analytics and MOz account. Due to the large number of ghost/referral spam and crawler bots we have added some heavy filtering to GA. This seems to be working protecting the data from all these problems but also filtering out much needed data that is not coming through. In example, we used to get a hundred visitors a day at the least and now we are down to under ten. ANYBODY PLEASE HELP. HAVE READ THROUGH MANY ARTICLES WITH NO FIND TO PERMANENT SOLID SOLUTION (even willing to go with paid service instead of GA) Thank You so Much, S.M.

What Is he Difference Between Google UK and Google Great Britain
When setting up a campaign for keywords and selected search engines. I am targeting a UK market so obviously Google.co.uk is my main target. However when I set up the campaign i select Google as the SE but it asks me if I want United Kingdom or Great Britain. I selected United Kingdom and it has been returning 0 results for rankings even though I can physically see them in the SERPS. Does anyone know exactly what is the difference between the UK and GB options. I assume I should of specified GB but not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
