I can't login to the Mozbar in Chrome. Just takes me to the homepage?
-
So, every time I press log in on the Mozbar, it takes me to the Moz home page which I'm already logged in to but there is no change on the status of the Mozbar?
What should I do to remedy this?
Thanks!

We've experienced this issue in the past. Uninstalling the toolbar and reinstalling seemed to fix the problem for us. Otherwise, Kristina provided very detailed and helpful instructions that I am sure will help solve your problem!

Hi there - Kristina from Moz's Help Team here
Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear about the troubles with your MozBar. We've been seeing reports from other customers with the tool, as well, and have updated our Health Page to reflect the known issues we're seeing with the tool at this time.
There's a couple of steps we've seen work for others that might help you with your issue at this time. Can you please attempt these steps on your side and let us know if you're still seeing issues?
- Un-install your MozBar plugin. I've taken a quick video here for you on how to find the tool in your extension list in Chrome.
- Un-install and re-install Chrome.
- Turn off any additional plugins that could be interfering with MozBar
- Clear all cache and cookie data related to moz.com
- Re-install your MozBar plugin here.
- Sign into your Moz account here and the MozBar.
Clearing your cache and cookies of all Moz related data is a very important step since we've recently required authentication for the toolbar to function properly. If you are still having issues after that it means the problem is coming from our side and we'll have to wait for an update from our MozBar team.
Sending over the below information to help@moz.com that we can provide to our developers would be a huge help in their efforts on diagnosing the issue, so if the above steps don't work for you, can you please perform the following steps and send over this screenshot to us?
- Click on this icon in the upper right corner of Chrome - Â http://www.screencast.com/t/HUj3m4DGuoqK
- Move the cursor over 'More Tools' and then click on 'Developer Tools' -http://www.screencast.com/t/B7SIh7qiPj
- Click into the 'Console' tab -Â http://www.screencast.com/t/itHrYuuq
- Make sure MozBar is running and then refresh the page if needed.
- Take a screenshot of the results (the entire window is recommended) and send that to us.
- What version of MozBar are you running?
- What is your OS version?
Thank you so much for your help, and for your patience while we work to resolve these issues. I look forward to hearing back from you about the above.
-Kristina

Hi guys,
Appreciate the help, the problem still persists. It's bizarre. The Mozbar almost isn't recognising the fact I'm logged in.
Again, any help is really appreciate.

Hi Ikkie,
The original post says that Markele is already logged in:
"it takes me to the Moz home page which I'm already logged in to "
-
Hi Markerle,
Yes it redirect you to the home page or Moz login page. Just logged in you Moz account through Moz site and then refresh your browsing site. It will update your login with plugin automatically.
Hope it will help

Just to add to this, I have downloaded the plugin to see if I could replicate/help on this. It logged me in straight away. However I logged out through the toolbar and it kept me logged in. So I seem to have the complete opposite of your issue.

Significant difference with DA scores on Moz Chrome app VS Website Tool
I saw a big difference between DA scores on Moz Chrome app VS Website Tool. Which DA score is the correct one? I personally believe the scores on Moz's site is most accurate. Do you happen to have issues syncing the scored to your Chrome app? Chrome App VS. Moz Research Tool (https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/)

Ambiguities In The MozBar Keyword Difficulty Checker
Hi, This is more of an observation rather than a real issue. But I noticed that when I check a keyword difficulty in Google by pressing the button that appears I get a different % result to the same keyword placed in the campaign. I suspect that it is something to do with being in the UK, however, If for instance I go to google.co.uk and place in the search bar IT support company Portsmouth I get the result 44% appear but in the keyword difficulty tool I get the result 34%. It seems to do this on all the keywords I have checked. I also checked both US and UK results in the campaign but neither of these came up within the 10% difference of the toolbar. Like I mentioned though, not a criticism, just an observation, its still a very handy little tool. EDIT 06/18/14: I thought I would just add that I am now getting some seriously odd results. For instance, if I put in the keyword 'hairy blue widgets for sale in Outer Mongolia' it returns a difficulty level of 71% ??? Thanks

Why'd Moz stop showing the list of users?
Curious to know if anyone else noticed that Moz stopped showing most of the active community users http://moz.com/community/users. It was nice to see who's who from visiting profiles and try to connect with them via email or see their websites, etc. There used to be pagination at the bottom. Why did they stop?

Understanding Onsite Elements and Moz's Onpage Grader
I'm currently helping a friend with his website. One of the pages I am targeting for his business is:Â http://stalbansdentist.com.au/dentist-cairnlea/ The main keyword this page is targeting will be "dentist cairnlea" (Cairnlea is a suburb near Melbourne, Australia) To perfect onsite optimization, I've used the Moz Onpage Grader. Generally, its straightforward, but I have encountered some issues... Appropriate Use of Rel Canonical The page does have the following tag: <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" href="http://stalbansdentist.com.au/dentist-cairnlea/" />. I thought this would suffice. What exactly do I need to do to fix this critical problem? Appropriate Characters in the URL I don't understand this one. The URL has completely appropriate characters. Why does Moz Onpage Grader insist that URLs here need to be appropriated? No More Than One H1 Tag There appears to be only one H1 tag on this page. Is Moz just wrong on this one or perhaps a little delayed? There were 2 H1 tags before one was deleted and a recheck done with this problem remaining on Moz's onsite check. Any assistance here on these 3 points and just understanding the Moz Onpage grader would be appreciated!

Just Discovered Anchor Text... Should they all be the same?
I am seeing our individual site pages (products and other) www.ultimateglobes.com showing up in "Just Discovered" all with the same "Link Anchor" text of "World Globes on Sale at Ultimate Globes".  This is also the text associated with our site meta "itemprop name" tag that shows up on every page.  Not sure if this is a common result from "Just Discovered" links or if we are somehow improperly using the meta "itemprop name" tag and therefore every page is passing this same result instead of passing on the appropriate page title with the link. Would appreciate any input....  Thanks đ
