I use GT Metrix. If you sign up for a free account you can throttle the connection to mobile network speeds, http://screencast.com/t/LtNMGetvuu They seem to have the best on the market for doing tests like this.

Lag time between MOZ crawl and report notification?
I did a lot of work to one of my sites last week and eagerly awaited this week's MOZ report to confirm that I had achieved what I was trying to do, but alas I still see the same errors and warnings in the latest report. This was supposedly generated five days AFTER I made the changes, so why are they not apparent in the new report? I am mainly referring to missing metadata, long page titles, duplicate content and duplicate title errors (due to crawl and URL issues). Why would the new crawl not have picked up that these have been corrected? Does it rely on some other crawl having updated (e.g. Google or Bing)?

Number of backlinks throughout time
From what I understand one important aspect in link building is how those backlinks have been acquired throughout time. So if a website gets a large number of backlinks in a short amount of time, the value of those links are reduced in the eyes of search engines. Is there a tool in SEOMoz (that i can't find) that would show the change of backlinks for my campaigns in the last one year?

Hi, A very challenging questions I always ask myself is that how exactly do I measure SEO. I am writing content, building pages, correcting links and so on. So now how I measure as to what I am doing is this really working out for me? Are the content which I am building is it working for the benefit of my website etc. What tools can I use to measure SEO specifically. What factors should I look at to measure when in cases where I am just begun my seo strategy. Will Open Site Explorer ever show number of links over time?
OSE is an amazing tool, but do you guys at SEOmoz have any plans to develop it so we can track numbers of links over time. I need to demonstrate to clients how the link building is going, and this would be a great quick report to see how many links you found on a given day, month, year, etc. A bit like magesticSEO backlink history graph, but better 🙂
