Brand Impressions & Clicks down massively
-
HI
We've seen a huge drop in impressions for brand terms in Adwords. YOY - 37,140 vs. 792. Our impression share is still high.
An agency manage this for us and can't seem to find a reason, but the drop is huge - it seems like it's just people not searching but we haven't seen this in organic and the drop is so huge we wondered what else it could be?
Paid is fairly new to me, so just doing some fact finding

I don't see an ad for "Key Industrial" - I'd look at the settings and budget. Are you targeting a different geography now? Cut the budget at all?
-
Hi
Thanks for this
Yes we have added negatives, our brand name is Key Industrial, but we also target 'Key' which is obviously very broad.
Haven't checked Google trends - I'll do that now!
Thanks!

This one is tough.
1. Are there negatives on the brand campaign/ad group?
2. Did you check your brand term in the AdWords Keyword Planner? How does it look in there?
3. Have you checked your brand name in Google Trends?
And if you don't mind sharing, what is the brand name?

Howdy, folks 🙂 Here is a question - is there way to have an AdWords matching rule, which would cover both "&" and "and"? Here is an example - rule to match both "B & B" and "B and B". Any help appreciated 🙂

Gap in Google PPC Ads & Organic search results - New test by Google?
Hi All, Just noticed an unusual gap in PPC ads and organic search results in google NZ. while searched the same term in Google AU, it wasn't the same. Did anyone here see something similar? Is this a new test by Google to get more clicks on PPC ads and pushing down organic results? Looking forward to hear from the community. Cheers, Rattan wcB6DL1.jpg

Why don't national brands have PPC ads that target their names, while smaller brands do?
Google's policy is to allow other businesses to run PPC ads against your business name, even when trademarked, so long as the ads don't include the trademarked name. At least that's what I have experienced and read online. Source: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdWords/thread?tid=55e2b4bf90ae9585&hl=en Why do so many national brands have no PPC ads showing on their names in Google searches? http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=best+buy http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=victorias+secret http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=office+depot And so on. Smaller brands, even when trademarked, are awash in competitors targeting their names: http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=nally+used+cars http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=la+jolla+cosmetic+surgery+centre Consider these two hotels: http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=ritz+carlton+new+york http://www.google.com/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=hotel+3030+new+york There are two slightly different questions in play here, as I have clients I'd like to better protect against this type of PPC poaching: So, are there any different policies at Google Adwords RE: national brands and having competitor's ads show on their names? How do the major brands block the advertisers on their names? Thanks!

Adwords Confusion - Where are these clicks coming from?
Ok, I posted two images showing that my Google Adwords search settings are to receive clicks only from google's search engine, as we are doing testing on keyword behavior with a few specific keywords. The second image will show that we have somehow 7 total search clicks, but not for any of our specific keywords. I'm confused. . . and hungry. . . I'm 'confungry'. 😉 jk any thoughts are welcomed. search-1.jpg search-2.jpg
