Discrepancy in actual indexed pages vs search console

Hi support,

I checked my search console. It said that 8344 pages from www.printcious.com/au/sitemap.xml are indexed by google.

however, if i search for site:www.printcious.com/au

it only returned me 79 results. See http://imgur.com/a/FUOY2

for your info, in my search console, it shown 8344 pages indexed since 7 days ago til now. is it something wrong with the indexing?

i expect googlebot should have finished indexing all my pages, rite?

should i request for fetch and render again?

Hi,

The site: operator only gives a select number of pages. Sometimes it shows all of them but that rare with large sites.

The total index count in search console is the correct stat.Hope this helps.Thanks

Unsolved Google Search Console Still Reporting Errors After Fixes

google search console sitemaps 400 errors

Hello, I'm working on a website that was too bloated with content. We deleted many pages and set up redirects to newer pages. We also resolved an unreasonable amount of 400 errors on the site. I also removed several ancient sitemaps that listed content deleted years ago that Google was crawling. According to Moz and Screaming Frog, these errors have been resolved. We've submitted the fixes for validation in GSC, but the validation repeatedly fails. What could be going on here? How can we resolve these error in GSC.

My WP website got attack by malware & now my website site:www.example.ca shows about 43000 indexed page in google.

Hi All My wordpress website got attack by malware last week. It affected my index page in google badly. my typical site:example.ca shows about 130 indexed pages on google. Now it shows about 43000 indexed pages. I had my server company tech support scan my site and clean the malware yesterday. But it still shows the same number of indexed page on google. Does anybody had ever experience such situation and how did you fixed it. Looking for help. Thanks FILE HIT LIST:

Pages are Indexed but not Cached by Google. Why?

Do you need a canonical tag for search and filter pages?

Hi Moz Community, We've been implementing new canonical tags for our category pages but I have a question about pages that are found via search and our filtering options. Would we still need a canonical tag for pages that show up in search + a filter option if it only lists one page of items? Best way to handle pages with iframes that I don't want indexed? Noindex in the header?

I am doing a bit of SEO work for a friend, and the situation is the following: The site is a place to discuss articles on the web. When clicking on a link that has been posted, it sends the user to a URL on the main site that is URL.com/article/view. This page has a large iframe that contains the article itself, and a small bar at the top containing the article with various links to get back to the original site. I'd like to make sure that the comment pages (URL.com/article) are indexed instead of all of the URL.com/article/view pages, which won't really do much for SEO. However, all of these pages are indexed. What would be the best approach to make sure the iframe pages aren't indexed? My intuition is to just have a "noindex" in the header of those pages, and just make sure that the conversation pages themselves are properly linked throughout the site, so that they get indexed properly. Does this seem right? Thanks for the help...

How to determine which pages are not indexed

Is there a way to determine which pages of a website are not being indexed by the search engines? I know Google Webmasters has a sitemap area where it tells you how many urls have been submitted and how many are indexed out of those submitted. However, it doesn't necessarily show which urls aren't being indexed.

Should I nofollow search results pages

I have a customer site where you can search for products they sell url format is: domainname/search/keywords/ keywords being what the user has searched for. This means the number of pages can be limitless as the client has over 7500 products. or should I simply rel canonical the search page or simply no follow it?
