My brand name has 2 words but Google only indexing as 1 word. Is there a fix?
-
Hi all...I'm at a loss. I've never had this happen. Google only shows pages of my site when I search the brand name as one word.
When I Google the site as one word BrandBrand- it only shows my blog page and about us page plus Twitter and Facebook on page 1. The homepage does not show up at all.
When I Google the site as two words Brand Brand - My Facebook page is on page 1 but nothing else. The homepage isn't showing up at all.
When I search both words on Bing and Yahoo both are indexing it as two words and shows on page 1.
Any ideas?

@TexasBlogger Here are a few potential reasons for the issue:
Google's indexing: Sometimes, Google's indexing algorithms may take time to properly crawl and index your website. It's possible that your homepage hasn't been fully indexed yet.
Brand name competition: If your brand name consists of common words or phrases, it could face tougher competition in search results. Other websites or brands with similar names might be overshadowing your homepage.
Search engine preferences: Different search engines can have variations in their algorithms and indexing processes. It's possible that Bing and Yahoo are interpreting your brand name as two separate words, while Google treats it as a single word. This can affect the way your homepage appears in their search results.
Website optimization: Double-check your homepage's optimization to ensure that it contains relevant keywords, meta tags, and descriptive content. Make sure your homepage is properly optimized for search engines to understand its relevance.
Backlinks and authority: Building high-quality backlinks from reputable websites can improve your website's authority and visibility in search results. Consider reaching out to relevant websites or industry influencers for potential collaborations or partnerships.
To address these issues, you can try the following steps:
Submit your website's sitemap to Google Search Console to ensure that it is properly indexed.
Continue to optimize your homepage by including relevant keywords, improving meta tags, and enhancing the content.
Consider enhancing your website's overall SEO strategy, including link-building efforts, to improve its visibility and authority.
If feasible, consider consulting with an SEO specialist who can analyze your website's specific situation and provide tailored recommendations.

Right but most pages of my site have been indexed. They're not ranking well yet and that's what takes time. The indexing happens quickly, it's the ranking that takes time.
I appreciate your responses, though.

In my experience it can even take 2 to 4 months really. It's why i focus more on domains with a longer age then newly registered ones. I have domains of over 10 year old in relation of registration and those index in just one complete night if i renew the website. Just saying.
-
Great. I'll wait it out then. The reason I reached out is I've seen aged sites with this same issue. Let's see what happens in a few weeks. Thanks!
-
New sites are damped to prevent quick spammers launching up domains on to go. So it takes a while or some time for google to release that and start listing you actively.
-
It's a new site. It's doesn't list at all...I checked through page 14 with the two words. But it does with one. There are no backlinks yet as it's new. But it should still be showing results for the brand name search.
-
Site age? Incoming links? Did you submit the website to even Google?
Does it list at all? Like page 2 or 3 etc? If thats the case, i'd suggest inspecting your incoming link profile and adjust links accordingly. It might be considered spammy.

Google Not Indexing Pages (Wordpress)
Hello, recently I started noticing that google is not indexing our new pages or our new blog posts. We are simply getting a "Discovered - Currently Not Indexed" message on all new pages. When I click "Request Indexing" is takes a few days, but eventually it does get indexed and is on Google. This is very strange, as our website has been around since the late 90's and the quality of the new content is neither duplicate nor "low quality". We started noticing this happening around February. We also do not have many pages - maybe 500 maximum? I have looked at all the obvious answers (allowing for indexing, etc.), but just can't seem to pinpoint a reason why. Has anyone had this happen recently? It is getting very annoying having to manually go in and request indexing for every page and makes me think there may be some underlying issues with the website that should be fixed.

Help Center/Knowledgebase effects on SEO: Is it worth my time fixing technical issues on no-indexed subdomain pages?
We're a SaaS company and have a pretty extensive help center resource on a subdomain (help.domain.com). This has been set up and managed over a few years by someone with no knowledge of SEO, meaning technical things like 404 links, bad redirects and http/https mixes have not been paid attention to. Every page on this subdomain is set to NOT be indexed in search engines, but we do sometimes link to help pages from indexable posts on the main domain. After spending time fixing problems on our main website, our site audits now flag almost solely errors and issues on these non-indexable help center pages every week. So my question is: is it worth my time fixing technical issues on a help center subdomain that has all its pages non-indexable in search engines? I don't manage this section of the site, and so getting fixes done is a laborious process that requires going through someone else - something I'd rather only do if necessary.

Google's Omitted Results - Attempt to De-Index
We're trying to get webpages from our QA site out of Google's index. We've inserted the NOINDEX tags. Google now shows only 3 results (down from 196,000), however, they offer a link to "show omitted results" at the bottom of the page. (A) Did we do something wrong? or (B) were we successful with our NOINDEX but Google will offer to show omitted results anyway? Please advise! Thanks!

Quickest way to remove content from Google index?
We had some content on our own website indexed by Google and the content was changed later. But that content is still showing up in Google results. Of course because it was indexed. Its very important for us that content should not show up in Google. So how to remove that content quickly from Google Index? I know normally when it crawl again it will show new content. Google url removal tool or Google url fetch ? or anything else?

Sitemap coming up in Google's index?
I apologize if this question's answer is glaringly obvious, but I was using Google to view all the pages it has indexed of our site--by searching for our company and then clicking the link that says to display more results for the site. On page three, it has the sitemap indexed as if it wee just another page of our site. <cite>www.stadriemblems.com/sitemap.xml</cite> Is this supposed to happen?

Google Indexed URLs for Terms Have Changed Causing Huge SERP Drop
We haven't made any significant changes to our website, however the pages that google has indexed for our critical keywords have changed to pages that have caused our SERP to drop dramatically for those pages. In some cases, the changes make no sense at all. For example, one of our terms that used to be indexed to our homepage is now indexed to a dead category page that has nothing on it. One of our biggest terms, where we were 9th, changed and is now indexed to our FAQ. As a result, we now rank 44th. This is having a MAJOR impact on our business so any help on why this sudden change happened and what we can do to combat it is greatly appreciated.

"Site Suspended" in Google Adwords + Lost all rankings in Google => is this related?
Can anyone share thoughts on this: Does the S recently (mid april) we revamped our website (same content, new layout, strong brand), but a few days later our google rep contacted us to tell that she got a "red flag" for one of our SEA campaigns (we broke the bridge page policy, not on purpose to be clear), they were completely correct on this matter. We even got some extra time to correct this, normal policy is only 10 days. But, we were a little slow, so all our Adwords Campaigns are suspended and we get the message "Site suspended". We are working to have this fixed, our Google rep even granted some more time to fix this. Now, almost simultaneously, same time frame, all our new pages, that were already ranking well tx to proper 301 rules, suddenly fell out of the google SERPS, nothing to be found anymore up till now. Our website is live since 1996, no issues, up till now. There seems to be a strong correlation to what happened in our SEA and what happened in our SEO can anyone share some info?
