How Long Do The Link Tracking Lists Take To Update?
-
Hi,
How long do the link tracking lists take to update? It's been over a week and each is still showing a red cross.
The reason I created it was because I migrated to a new domain name and Moz is still showing the backlinks on the old property and not the new (the domain swap happened in December 2020). I can see that Ahrefs has picked up all of the links - Both new and redirected - but Moz has not. When will this be reflected in Moz as it has already been over three months?
Is there a reason for the above questions?
I appreciate any response here.

Is there a reason for the above questions? The link tracking lists typically update within a few days to a week, but it seems they're taking longer in your case. This delay could be due to various factors such as technical issues or the complexity of the migration process. It's concerning that Moz hasn't reflected the domain swap from December 2020 yet, especially when Ahrefs has picked up the changes. It's worth contacting Moz support for clarification and assistance in resolving this discrepancy.

Link tracking list update times vary depending on the specific platform or service used. These lists are typically updated regularly for minutes to hours to ensure users have accurate and up-to-date tracking data. However, the exact period may vary depending on the frequency of data updates performed by your service provider.

please let me know how can i permanent lock my track sheet projects in moz.

An additional two months later and Moz still hasn't picked up the domain redirect links, nor has it picked up any of the 15/ 20 new links from legitimate, large publisher sites.
Ahrefs, Majestic, and SEMRush have picked up most.

This vaguely answers my question, so thank you.
However, it has been almost 4 weeks since setting up the tracking list and Moz still hasn't picked up the links. Not only that, it has picked up several links that come from low-quality, spammy sites.
The only thing I am getting from this experience is that Ahrefs and Majestic are much better than Moz and that I should not purchase a monthly subscription after the free trial ends.
Thank you for your time, Eli.

Hi,
We hope to see links added to Link Tracking Lists appear within our index within 2 - 4 weeks, that is the typical timeframe. This mentioned timeframe is normal but not a 100% guarantee, as you should see most links appear in our index within that timeframe but it is possible you will not see all links added which would not be unusual.
Adding Links to our Link Tracking Lists helps our crawler to find them but when exactly our crawler finds your links may still vary between any given timeframe; some links may be found sooner and some later.
Due to the amount of links on the web, the crawl-ability of a site, the amount of links added to our lists and how our crawler naturally crawls it's hard to pinpoint exactly when your specific links added will be found in the Link Index.
If there is anything else you need please feel free to reach out to help@moz.com

Unsolved Link Tracking List Error
"I have been maintaining 5 directories of backlinks in the 'Link Tracking List' section for several months. However, I am unable to locate any of these links at this time. Additionally, the link from my MOZ profile is currently broken and redirects to an error page, no to Elche Se Mueve. Given the premium pricing of MOZ's services, these persistent errors are unacceptable."

Unsolved Backlink updates
There are a large number of missing backlinks (old) which are not showing on Moz but do show on Ahrefs. Is there a reason for this? Thanks.

Remove geographic modifiers from keyword list
I just pulled a search term report for all of 2013 from my PPC account. What I got was 673,000 rows of terms that have garnered at least 1 impression in 2013. This is exactly what I was looking for. My issue is that the vast majority of terms are geo-modified to include the city, the city and state or the zip code. I am trying to remove the geographic information to get to a list of root words people are interested in based on their search query patterns. Does anyone know how to remove all city, state and zip codes quickly without having to do a find and replace for each geo-modifier in excel? for example, if i could get a list of all city and state combinations in the US and a list of all zip codes, and put that list on a separate tab and then have a macro find and remove from the original tab any instances of anything from the second tab, that would probably do the trick. Then I could remove duplicates and have my list of root words.

How do Infographics provide links? (example inside)
Hi, I don't get it...
Moz Pro | | BeytzNet
I've encountered the following infographic that seemed to do well: http://www.brilliance.com/4cs-of-diamonds-infograph As you can see, the page has thousands of social shares from Tweets to Facebook and obviously Pinterest. However, when I placed this page on Open Site Explorer (click to view) I see only 9 external links and page authority of 28/100. And this seems to me like a successful infographic. Any explanations? Why are inbound links not showing?
I run the site http://www.eurocheapo.com and am finding that many inbound links are not showing up in OSE and on the toolbar. For example, check out this hotel review: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/hotel/hotel-esmeralda.html In OSE it shows only 2 links (from 1 domain), which is crazy. It has dozens of inbound links from many different domains (links:http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/hotel/hotel-esmeralda.html). I notice this all over my site. Pages that we link between are also showing no internal links -- which is easy to disprove. Was there a problem with this crawl? Or is the problem in our code? Many thanks for your help, Tom

How do you check the outbound links of a site?
There are great tools like http://www.opensiteexplorer.org that will tell you all about the inbound links. What about the more basic and easier question: What outgoing links does this site have?
