Are there any concerns moving a site to https?
I am currently having analytics issues where the non-secured (http) front end of my site is not properly communicating to the backend (https) of my site.
When a user jumps between the the secured and non-secured, it will display as a bounce in GA and I get duplicate visits. GA has a work around for this but it is messy and not working.
So my question is, has anyone had good/bad experiences moving a non-secured site over to the secured side?
Thanks!

Any chance to out rank Google flight data for company name?
If you search any number with "co" after it you get Continental Airlines flight information of the corresponding number. So you if you search "4co" you get the current flight details for Continental flight 4.
Is there any chance if you have a company called 4CO and you own 4co.com that you could get the number one spot for that term or will google flight results always trump the "organic" results?
Thanks!

Should we move to a new domain??
Working with a company that is considering moving to a new domain and wanted some advice. They have 2 domains (they own both) and one is a shorter version of the other.
The current domain is over 10 years old and has a domain authority score of 80. It is 9 characters long.
The new domain (which they also own) has a DA score of 43 and is only 3 characters long.
The debate is as much about branding as anything but there is a concern on how it will affect search.
I was hoping for so advice and any pitfalls others may have experienced.
Thanks!!

How to handle "2" homepages?
Came across an interesting problem. A site has the traditional homepage of site.com and ranks okay.
Later I found that another "homepage", site.com/home.html that ranks well for several terms but actually has old branding and semi-up-to-date content.
Site.com/home.html has a solid linking profile but not as strong as the current homepage (site.com).
The question I have is should I try to salvage the page or 301 redirect to site.com?
Thank for the help!
