Hi, we have plenty of 404 errors. We just deal with those that are of the highest priority (the ones that have high page authority). We have also a lot of errors like this: http://www.weddingrings.com/www.yoy-search.com . Does it make sense to redirect those to the home page or leave them as an 404 error?

Moving hosting to another company/server . What about SEO?
Hi,
We have been experiencing issues with our hosting company and want to move the hosting to someone else. One problem was that we did Isapi rewrite rule but the company moved to mod rewrite and they never adjusted the rewrite rules.
We are considering a move to another hosting company - would that hurt rankings? Are there any SEO considerations to think about when switching to another host?

RE: Problem with redirects in coldfusion
I am trying to put redirects in cold fusion but when I crawl the page in moz analytics it still gives me error 500.
The redirect should point from
http://www.weddingrings.com/item.cfm?str_shortdesc=UNIQUE
to
I use the following code
<cfif query_string="" eq="" "str_shortdesc="UNIQUE""><cfheader statuscode="301" statustext="Moved Permanently"><cfheader name="Location" value="/item.cfm?str_shortdesc=UNIQUE%20CARRE%20CUT%20DIAMOND%20ETERNITY%20BAND&str_category=Diamond-Bands-and-Gold-Rings&grouping_id=9&category_id=21&int_item_id=6884"><cfabort></cfabort></cfheader></cfheader></cfif>

Problem with redirects in coldfusion
How to redirect pages in cold fusion? If using ColdFusion and modrewrite, the URL will never be redirected from ModRewrite.

Do I redirect pages that no longer appear on the website?
Here is an example of the link that is no longer on the website (Broken link) http://www.weddingrings.com/item.cfm?str_shortdesc=UNIQUE
The broken link was fixed to : http://www.weddingrings.com/item.cfm?str_shortdesc=UNIQUE CARRE CUT DIAMOND ETERNITY BAND&str_category=Diamond-Bands-and-Gold-Rings&grouping_id=9&category_id=21&int_item_id=6884
Would I still need to redirect the old broken link to the new fixed one using 301 redirect?

How to deal with high authority but irrelevant external links
Hi,
My client has an online ecommerce site where he sells wedding items. His previous SEO company added his URL to many websites that are related to porn. Those are high authority websites but are irrelevant to my client's business. Should I disavow those links?
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
