I'm Allen D. Wilson, a director at a digital advertising agency in Newport Beach, CA called Web Search USA. My holistic approach to Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is based on a few priorities: serving the needs of clients and their customers' needs online. That may seem broad, but it boils down to audience engagement through great content delivery, paying strong attention to user experience (UX). I work with the paid advertising department to gauge site performance and study the effectiveness of our ad content, then readjust accordingly. We are not a gigantic ad agency with cubicles and multiple floors, so I've been fortunate to learn directly from the system administrators how to manage certain technical details of websites such as: URL parameters and their effect on search engines (expert) Apache server configuration (very advanced working knowledge) Database management (working knowledge) My primary interest these days involves contributing to the semantic web, specifically the medical and travel industries. Currently I serve as {volunteer} webmaster for SLK Learning Center (two locations specializing in ESOL for Japanese students.) Additionally I joined the marketing team at TEDXOrangeCoast as the creative director for 2014. Prior to joining Web Search USA, I worked as a web developer for SuperMedia, designing websites for businesses in various industries. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications, Photojournalism from California State University, Fullerton in 2009.
