I just found this website recently that gives many good advises on gaining higher DA for websites.

RE: reduce spamscore
Some country level domains and new generic domains have spam scores by default, is it some kind of discrimination?
This new site News24 Thailand and Thai Business News are such examples. These are fresh sites and already have high spam scores from nowhere....

RE: reduce spamscore
Why new sites have high spam scores?
I think there's something not right about this mechanism.
For example, Thailand Scoop and News24 Thailand are relevant new sites and posts only news content. -
RE: how can i get up my da?
I think MOZ has problem in non-English sites.
There are a few Japanese and Korean news sites that already have existed for many years, but Moz has no data about them.
Such as Japan pop news, and Japan news hub, and s. korea news, just to name a few.
So the data is not accurate when it comes to non English sites. -
RE: domain authority has not changed
My global news site has increased in DA, I think it's due to the unique content that I wrote myself and earned quotation from other media.

RE: domain authority has not changed
Hi, my domain authority has not increased but decreased, can someone know the reason?
It's a press release distribution site, so keep the DA is important. Thanks in advance.

RE: reduce spamscore
If you operate a normal site or blog, you should not have spam score issue- unless you got a backlink service that got you spammy links, in that case you need to disavow those links.
BTW: A Chinese friend of mine who run news sites told me that his domain receive default spam scores just because it's the China TLD - https://www.atpress.cn
