Brenne was raised in Kings Point, NY. She obtained her BA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She worked as a substitute teacher while enrolled at Pratt Institute, & earned an MS in Art Education. She was hired as a part-time art teacher, continued to substitute, & taught art at the Parrish Art Museum. On weekends & the summer, she taught at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons. Eventually she decided that juggling so many part-time jobs was interfering with her need to grow as an artist.
Deciding to pursue a PhD, she found an interdisciplinary program, which incorporated art, art history, and Judaic studies at the University of Texas, where she was awarded a full scholarship & an appointment as a TA. Realizing that the program was impractical, she withdrew, but earned an MA. Upon returning to NY, she was hired as an assistant at an Internet Marketing company in Great Neck in 2008. . In late 2009, she went into business for herself.
