This related to a previous question I had about satellite sites. I questioned the white-hativity of their strategy. Basically to increase the number of linking C blocks they created 100+ websites on different C blocks that link back to our main domain. The issue I see is that- the sites are 98% exactly the same in appearance and content. Only small paragraph is different on the homepage. the sites only have outbound links to our main domain, no in-bound links Is this a legit? I am not an SEO expert, but have receive awesome advice here. So thank you in advance!

Our SEO provider created a bunch of "unique url" websites that have direct match domain names. The content is pretty much the same for over 130 websites (city name is different) that link directly to our main site. For me this was a huge red flag, but when I questioned them and they said it was fine. We haven't seen a drop in traffic, but concerned that Google just hasn't gotten to us. DA for each of these sites are 1 after several months. Should we be worried? I think yes, but I am an SEO newbie.

Our company has over 100+ stores. Does it make sense to have a main Facebook page and individual pages for each location? How does each affect SERPs? Thanks!

Seomoz, Our current SEO provider built a squeeze page using Wordpress. http://www.buddyrents.com/rent-to-own-furniture/spring-hill-34608/ The page has minimal links and the one drop-down menu links to other pages that look exactly the same with the exception of the page name and Google map. Since the pages were built a 2 years ago there have been zero copy changes or code changes until a few weeks ago, yet the provider maintains that there is a maintenance charge to make sure the pages function correctly and are easily read by Google. This sounds like a made up charge. Wordpress pages like these should be pretty stable and search friendly. Am I missing something? Is this common to charge for SEO, On-page SEO and Maintenance for pages that have not changed and only rank if you actually enter the long-tail keywords that match the page title? They also don't create a lot of traffic, but the provider says they are essential to our online footprint. We just got off the phone with our current SEO/ SEM provider and was shocked to hear that we are essentially renting the FB pages and Google + pages we paid them to create for our 100+ locations. We were told that all the pages have been created under a "Master SEO" account and we would immediately lose any juice from these pages if they are not under their account. He claimed the pages were given their rankings because the account they are associated with vs. the actual SEO done. Can anyone shed some light on this claim. I have never heard of such a thing.
