Do you know if I have to consider the inbound links from OSE or WMT?

I am working on that. What am not sure if I should take in consideration the links published on WMT or from Open Site Explorer?

I finished analizing the qualitiy of my link profile, based on this great article http://www.seomoz.org/blog/anchor-text-distribution-avoiding-over-optimization, and I see that, not only I have a Targeted 71.16% vs Non Targeted 28.84% distribution, but the Exact Match anchor text represents the 66.51% of the targeted links, having a Variance from Normal of 48.46%.

The new question is: should I reduce the targeted anchor text percentage by removing some targeted links or better add new links for non targeted anchor texts?

On FEB 2012 I got the now-famous notice from Google about the unnatural links.  I contacted the SEO company who worked for my website and removed the inbound links. I submitted the reconsideration request and Google said that there are still unnatural links. I dig more on my links and continue to remove the links I think Google does not like. I again submitted the reconsideration request and they responded “we still see links to your site that violate our quality guidelines.”.

When I compared the non-paid traffic month by month, starting on March, I see these fluctuations:

March compared with Feb -16%

April compared with March -18%

May compared with April +13%

Jun compared with May -10%

July compared with June +10%

August compared with July -10%

September compared with August -12%

October compared with September-29%

Also, If I look into the index stats on my WMT, I see that on October I have 50% less pages indexed compared with July. It has been dropping between 10% and 15% each week, as follows:

The rankings for the 3 top keywords went (starting on April)

From     5              to            15

From     8              to            27

From     5              to            39

At this point, I am not sure what causes the reduction in traffic.

I am asking how can I have a ranking history.

I am having trouble on getting a ranking history for some of my keywords. Is this feature still working?

On FEB I got a message on my Google Webmaster Tools saying "Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to http://www.loveandlucky.com/"

How can I know what inbound links Google considered as unnatural?

I am sorry I did not provided more info. This is my first time here. I answered below each question, in caps.

•    Were there any (shady) links build?
HONESTLY, I DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT DOES MEAN.

•    How did the company perform for these keywords in the past?
WHEN THE LINK BUILDER COMPANY STARTED WORKING ON 2 KEYWORDS, THEY GRADUALLY INCREASED THEIR RANKINGS WHILE THE OTHERS REMAINS WITH THE SAME RATING.  SUDDENLY, 2 WEEKS AGO ALL KEYWORDS (THE ONE THEY WERE WORKING ON AND THE OTHERS) WENT DOWN, FROM POSITION 1 TO 4.

•    Were these keywords over-optimized (for example using loads of exact match anchor texts)?.
NO, THE ARTICLES SEEM NATURAL.

•    Could there have been any impact of a Panda Google update?.
NO. THE SUDDEN DROP STARTED ON JULY 12, APROX.

•    Did any on-page changes take effect that might have caused these rankings to shift?.
I DID NOTHING ON THE PAGES. THE ONLY THING WE DID IS UPGRADE OUR SHOPPING CART RELEASE. IT WAS AROUND THAT DATE. HOWEVER, I AM ALSO ON THE SHOPPING CART FORUM AND NOBODY EXPERIMENTS ANY DROP BY UPDATING THEIR SHOPPING CART ENGINE.

Hi Joe,

I did not received any notice from Google Webmaster Tool indicating unnatural linking detected. The company is only working on proving me links. They give me every month the list of the articles they wrote and the links, that's it. How can I avoid this sort of unnatural linkbuilding?. The only thing I did today is find out what are the page and domain authority of the links they are providing me. What that company told me is that they only build links and there is nothing wrong they can do to make my rankings decrease. And what they pointed out is that my rankings went down on the keywords they were working on and also in others. Since I am not expert, I trusted them. What else I can do?

I have 51 errors on my Crawl Diagnostics tool.46 are 4xx Client Error.Those 4xx errors are links to products (or categories) that we are not selling them any more so there are inactive on the website but Google still have the links. How can I tell Google not to index them?. Can those errors (and warnings) could be harming my rankings (they went down from position 1 to 4 for the most important keywords)

I've been working with a company to get some incoming links since April 2011. We are targeting only 2 keywords. For one keyword I was ranked number 1 until a couple of weeks ago. In fact, most of my rankings went down including those keywords that the company was not working on. They are writing 5 articles per month and posting them to their proprietary network. Could those backlinks could harmed my rankings?
