Carolyn recently founded the Phoenix law firm Takhone LawCenter, PLC, a mediation, peacemaking and collaborative law practice. She is a member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians (Lenape) and is a descendant of the Lakota and Arikara tribes. Prior to opening Takhone Law Center, Carolyn served as the Director of Lenape Legal Aid, Program Attorney for the National Tribal Judicial Center at the National Judicial College and the Attorney Adviser for the U.S. Department of Interior, Office of Hearings and Appeals, Phoenix Field Office. Carolyn is a graduate of Cornell College and earned her law degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. She serves on the executive boards of the Maricopa County Association of Family Mediators (Secretary) and the Lost Boys Center for Leadership Development (Vice-President).
