New website coming soon
Currently I'm optimizing content for Anton Laurentiu and I'm doing some keyword strategy, link building...
What would be the best way to target his photography and retouching services? He's based in Romania but also able to travel across Europe. Establish the website on the Romanian market (romanian language) or do a research at a larger scale? Thanks.

RE: Ranking in a specific country
For targeting purposes and better locate your online services it's better to use "Country Code TLD". Also there is another option in GWT where you can specify the target audience, look also into that.
Hope it helps,

RE: Visual strategy
That's true EGOL, I'm in the same situation with my personal website, been trying to optimize the architecture for months and at this time I'm still undecided , weekly I'm changing the order, resize the slides, adding content to the page, optimizing the keywords until I get some results. I work closely with theme developers and I make some technical suggestions after i test the template with different tools.

Visual strategy
Currently working on a project for a talented photographer and retoucher from Europe who specializes in glamour, fashion, editorial. I'm a very analytical person and I want this website to have a highly visual impact and a good SEO implementation.
My question is:
Is it recommended to display the portfolio section on the frontpage or on a separate page. There is also the possibility to include some files on frontpage and have a separate Portfolio page with more projects. Which path are you recommending?
Thanks

Hey G, what are the results from the sitemap, also make sure to check the compatibility of your plugins, caching, etc.

RE: SEO and Pictures tool
Bonjour Nancy,
You can use any gallery plugin for your WP page and if you follow the guidelines for images you shouldn't have any problem with the SEO. Pay attention to all attributes for images (image name, alt, a href, title, description, image size), I recommend you to optimize all of your files using software like Adobe Photoshop.
From a photographer perspective I like to use Flickr, large community and you can easily create galleries, badges for your website.
Hope it helps

RE: Google's "cache:" operator is returning a 404 error.
Submit your sitemap in Webmaster Tools to crawlers by using the Fetch as Google option. You'll have your website indexed within 24 hours. After that you can fix the eventual errors by analyzing the Health section from GWT.
Check this page for more info.

Are you using the Facebook plugin for WP? You'll have to pay attention when you activate different sections in the settings.

RE: Need help with image resizing (re: slow site)
Thanks a lot Keri,
These days with the online competition being so strong we should pay more attention to the website architecture, usability, visual impact, speed and technical problems. SEO it's so complex that you'll find yourself overwhelmed by the number of critical issues that needs to be addressed and fixed. Don't focus just on the content try to enhance every aspect of your page from to . Optimizing pictures takes only a few moments and you can use automated functions in Photoshop.

Branding, photography, web design and SEO are my main interests. I like to travel, play and watch soccer, spend many hours on SEO and soon get certified.
Romanian it's my native language thus I hope you'll ignore my eventual misspellings(I'm pretty sure that I have some in here), I moved in the US in 2006.
Snatch it's my favorite movie and I enjoy the british humor and European distributions as for the music, downtempo.
