Content not indexed
How come i google content that resides on my website and on my homepage and my site doesn't come up? I know the content is unique i wrote that.
I have a feeling i have some kind of a crawling issue but cannot determine what it is. I ran the crawling test and other tools and didn't find anything. Google shows me that pages are indexed but yet its weird try googling snippets of content and you'll see my site isnt anywhere.
Have you experienced that before?
First i thought it was penalized but i submitted the reconsideration request and it came back clear, No manual spam action found. And i did not get any message in my GWMT either.
Any thoughts?

RE: What can i do about link threaths like these? What does Google do abt these?
Honestly the problem im having is i have paid a few of these removals, but it seems like other directories keep appearing in my link reports, links i have no ideea where they cam from ------and now im finding myself having to pay for those as well. I feel like these people put links on other directories and then ask me for more money....i cant keep paying them because they keep putting other links up, i dodnt know whos doing this but im so over it.....

RE: What can i do about link threaths like these? What does Google do abt these?
NO i didnt pay to have HIM put them there - after the updates when my site wasnt ranking i pulled up my link report and contacted everyone i had a bad link from. I did not pay for any links ever, but i did have a company that worked for me last year and im suspecting they had negotiated these bad links now im just trying to get them removed....

What can i do about link threaths like these? What does Google do abt these?
I asked for links removal and it turned into a threat now see below. Can i do anything abt these? Can google protect us from these? Where can i let google know - my site is already penalized and only showing up for my brand in google
I have deleted the email threads from here - contact me if you want me to send those so you can see them

I think my site is affected by a Google glitch...or something
Although google told me No manual spam actions found i had not received an unnatural link request notice i figured it would be a good idea to clean these up so i did.
So i have submitted 3 reconsideration requests from google. They all came back with the same response: No manual spam actions found. I really doubt that anyone at google really checked those out.You will notice that i don't even appear on page 1-10 at all...its clearly google filtering the site out from the results(except for my brand terms), but i have no idea what for. What do you guys think it is? If you see anythign let me know so i can have it fixed. This has been going on for 2 months now...my company has been around for a long time...i dont understand why suddenly im not showing up in searches for the keyword si used to rank for...

Crawling issues in google
Hi everyone,
I think i have crawling issues with one of my sites.
It has vanished form Google rankings it used to rank for all services i offered now it doesn't anymore ever since September 29th.
I have resubmitted to Google 2 times and they came back with the same answer:
"
We reviewed your site and found no manual actions by the web spam team that might affect your site's ranking in Google. There's no need to file a reconsideration request for your site, because any ranking issues you may be experiencing are not related to a manual action taken by the webspam team.
Of course, there may be other issues with your site that affect your site's ranking. Google's computers determine the order of our search results using a series of formulas known as algorithms. We make hundreds of changes to our search algorithms each year, and we employ more than 200 different signals when ranking pages. As our algorithms change and as the web (including your site) changes, some fluctuation in ranking can happen as we make updates to present the best results to our users.
If you've experienced a change in ranking which you suspect may be more than a simple algorithm change, there are other things you may want to investigate as possible causes, such as a major change to your site's content, content management system, or server architecture. For example, a site may not rank well if your server stops serving pages to Googlebot, or if you've changed the URLs for a large portion of your site's pages. This article has a list of other potential reasons your site may not be doing well in search.

How i detected that it may be a crawling issue is that 2 weeks ago i changed metas - metas are very slow in getting updated and for some of my pages never did update
Do you know any good tools to check for bad code that could slow down the crawling. I really don't know where to look other than issues for crawling. I validated the website with w3c validator and ran xenu and cleaned these up but my website is still down.
Any ideas are appreciated.

RE: Phone numbers in the meta titles
its a small lead gen business and yes people always call for appointments, even on our site they rarely use the form. 80% are calls - but my question is does google penalizes for that type of practice?

Phone numbers in the meta titles
Is it best practice to have phone numbers in the meta titles? Will google penalize for that? It is actually useful for the users...

RE: No manual spam actions found - still my site does not rank
I will focus on building some branded links.
The reason why the google maps and yelp have the same link is because i have been in google maps and I noticed that one day my listing was up in maps the next day it wasnt....someone told me that my competitors were flagging me, but i dont understand how that part really works - I do have 2 offices one in san diego and one in temecula.
thank you for your feedback,Cary

RE: No manual spam actions found - still my site does not rank
Last year i did outsource 1 month worth of linkbuilding but i had canceled as soon as i saw what kind of links they were building. I know natural links are way better and i am doing my best to provide good quality pages so that users naturally link back to me.
Would you say i need to remove those links? How can i even get them removed?
I will think of something that will bring me more branded kw. By brand you would say Aall In Limo LLC, or the websites url?
Thank you, Cary

No manual spam actions found - still my site does not rank
I noticed it on the 1st of October 2012 - that all my rankings disappeared - i filed a reconsideration request w google and i got this - No manual spam actions found.
I have no idea why my site would have been subject to an algo change which made my rankings completely go away - i have not used spam, not used any kind of linkbuilding.
Can you guys look at my site and see if you have any ideas:
Thank you,
Cary

RE: Wordpress Security and Alternatives
From our experience we noticed that Drupal does not work as well for SEO as wordpress does so since we tested it Drupal wont be an option for us...Joomla either...but thank you for the tip ill try the website defender url for now...im looking for something that i wont have to manage every couple of months for technical purposes...so if there are any methods i hope we will both find out

Wordpress Security and Alternatives
No matter how secure we try to make our wordpress blogs they still got hacked. We recently got hacked(server level hacking, javascript insertion that took our server down, through the askimet plugin), anyway there was nothing really showing in the front end, no inserted links and nothing suspicious looking code.
Oh well we are changing the passwords now and going through and deleting the javascript.
The problem im facing is that i am handling over 100 blogs, so its very time consuming to do this. I know that once or twice a year everyone goes through a wordpress crisis but we really cant afford nor have the resources to fix it all the time.
Are there any alternatives to wordpress blogs(as good as wordpress). Wordpress has been showing good results so far so it works as far as SEO goes, but we are trying to figure out what to do in order to not get hacked. Besides alternatives id like to know if there are any work arrounds to not get hacked with little maintenance needed. Any tips?

RE: Subdomains for niche related keywords
I agree with you and thank you for your answer but at the same time i am more worried abt the structural standpoint - as i responded above to one of the replies - use the example with the hospital
A hospital may target very general related keywords but then it may offer very specific services and programs that are all indirectly related. Now those programs are very niche related and specific for certain types of surgeries and services offered, they contain a lot of information and can be expanded way above the 10 pages mentioned.
Now the question is what do you do in that case? You'd rather have 5 sub folders divided in other 20-30 categories and subcategories? Or you would rather have them structured in a better way on a sub-domain? What would be your choice in this case?
-
RE: Subdomains for niche related keywords
ok the main website targets 5 very competitive niches. They are different niches and they all offer different types of services.
as a good example would be a hospital that offers a couple of different programs and surgeries. Each program offers a different service, and targets different niche related keywords. But because the main site offers all of those its hard to categorize them in subfolders.

RE: Subdomains for niche related keywords
Ok so my understanding is that if you don't mind doing the extra work for a sub-domain then you do recommended it being used. Do you see sub-domains as achieving better placements down the road if the necessary extra work will be put into these?
-
RE: Subdomains for niche related keywords
how about from a category standpoint - on the main site if you are creating a subfolder you are limited to how deep u structure your categories as opposed to a subdomain you have more flexibility and are able to categorize those 100 pages much cleaner and user friendly
how about if you target a different geo location? wouldnt that be optimized better with a subdomain?

Subdomains for niche related keywords
I wanted to know how efficient using a subdomain is, taking in consideration all the updates Google has made lately.
I am looking to use a subdomain for a well branded website for a niche specific part of their website. The subdomain will end-up having more than 100 pages.
I'd like to see in what cases do you guys recommend using a subdomain? How to get the same benefit out of a subdomain as i am getting from the actual main domain?
