Thanks for all you guys do
I am writing because I am trying to build a company's SEO link profile with links that have super high, and super stable Domain and Page Authorities (as well as solid Trust and Citation flows).
I do this organically and even build my own sites using moz strategies - BUT, I am in need of your best advice: What are some links you can "buy" (as a result of using services from) that are strong and dofollow?
Is Constant Contact good?
Is Best of the Web good?
tweetangels smart?
I have seen several businesses with constant contact links (very high domain authority) on their profiles and as the head of business development for a mid-sized marketing firm, I want to see if constant contact, botweb, etc. are smart sources to put my clients on for the sake of the seo profile links - I am looking for strong, long-term perma-bumps for my companies and don't want to miss out on low-hanging fruit (that won't poison me in the end).
Can you speak to that please?
Do you guys have a list of directory links or 'whatever' links that are "get-able" by a regular guy like me that are not simply 2.0 nofollow?
Thank you
Ben
Hey all good mozzers - For my new publishing company, would you recommend building on a Wordpress Platform or a different CMS? I want it to look great to user and also allow me to fully optimize it for ranking purposes - thanks.
Seems like Wordpress has a ton of possibility and is much cheaper - but I don't want to do all that work if it is not as strong for SEO purposes -
I like to use CMS made simple typically because it is exactly what it claims: simple
Advise me please - and then let me know who you think might be able to help me build the best professional site? company or individual?
thanks

I do basic SEO stuff as well as marketing for quite a few clients. But, I am wondering which directories or exposure based groups are worth the money? Is a business.com directory listing for $300 a solid investment to get a strong link? Is yext a good move? How about wildfire? I could use some really high DA links to stack on top of the link profiles I have already built through content, etc.? Please advise me.
PS Confession: I was once a pre-panda Fiverr link junkie. But I am in recovery. I have an 18 month chip and am currently making amends.
12 steps to SEO freedom baby.
Sorry for my late reply -
I tried the private browsing thing and it still redirects me round and around...
It has been 6 weeks now and I really really need open site explorer to work for me on my laptop...
please walk me through what else i might do to solve this problem...
Sorry to bug you, but I don't know where else to turn...
thanks,
Ben
I am stuck in the redirect loop which seems to have become commonplace when seeking to access open link explorer...
I have cleared my cache.
I have reset and restarted my browser.
And I think I have done what I need to do with cookies.
Someone please help me - I am using 10.6.8 OSX - Safari - but have also tried chrome
thanks in advance

Hey.
One of my main clients has asked to see the crawl data and rankings data for the past eight months.
He wants to have tangible evidence of the effects of Penguin.
I would like that info too.
Is it possible to retrieve that information on a weekly crawl and ranking basis through SEO Moz and if so, how do you do it?
I simply want to show a graph, timeline and brief explanation across several main keywords...
Help me as you guys always do -
You rock

Ben
I have blogs/news sites on every one of my clients' websites (each representing a different business within the same industry - self storage).
On each of these blog sites, I have a writer who places about 3-5 exact keyword match links (varying anchor text) to give interlink juice to the other off-site businesses owned by the client.
Each of these blogs receive about five posts per week.
I am sure this is mega-over-optimizing and a stupid thing to do considering penguin.
So, my questions are:
Moving forward - 1. Should i stop adding so many blog articles to each site?
2. How many interlinking anchor texts should I use per blog?
3. Should I go back and either get rid of all those interlinks on past blogs or just trash the blog articles altogether?
Please help if you can - I very much appreciate the responses

Does anyone know? Has anyone run such a report yet?
Thanks for help -

Thanks a lot for requesting clarification - These sites are built on CMS made easy.
One example is:
http://www.affordablestoragelubbock.com and http://affordablestoragelubbock.com
another is
http://www.aplussuperstorage.com and http://aplussuperstorage.com
I can give you like five others, but it is pretty much the same issue
many many thanks for what you can offer
and I am not sure whether or not I have access to the htaccess file - why?
because I am a dumbbell who cannot be trusted with much more than an x-box controller
Okay -
I am a supermodel. I look pretty. My legs are amazing. My cheekbones are high. But when it comes to 301 redirects I am the ugliest supermodel on the block.
Crap, here is the truth: I am not even a supermodel. I am just a middle-aged, goofy looking dude who is a newbie to fixing websites.
I have inherited several sites from a friend and I have been helping by creating solid contextual links internally and externally for a while. But, when Roger the wondrous SEOMoz robot talks to me, he says, "oops, it looks like your foolish freak self has a site that has both a www. and a non-www, which can create competition for yourself."
What do I do when he says that?
I just whisper a "thank-you" but gently press the skip this step button and go on with my life because I do not know how to make my non-www.'s redirect into the www. sites...
Now, I have sort of asked this question on the site before, but I was answered by someone who does not understand my level of ignorance.
any use of the word canonical or just put this lfwjkshj.htp/php inside the left ear of your mom, does not tell me anything
so, is there any willing and kind soul who can walk me through redirecting several of my sites to their proper home - kind of like Carl Chubbs Weathers did for Happy Gilmore in that Academy Award winning classic?
Thanks for the help in advance
best,
dumbhead
Hey all,
WIhen I first started doing SEO, I was encouraged by several supposed experts that it was a good idea to buy links from "respectable" sources and as well make use of SEO experimentation offered on Fiverr.
I did that a lot for the clients I represented not knowing if this was going to hurt. But now after the latest Google shift, I am realizing that this was stupid and thus deserving of the ranking drops I have received.
In the aftermath, I want to list out here what I am doing now to try to build better and stronger rankings for my sites using white hat techniques only...
Below is a list of what I'm doing. Please let me know if any of these are bad choices and I will immediately dump them. Also, If i am not including some good options, please let me know that too.
I am really embarrassed and humbled by this and could use whatever help you can offer. Thanks in advance for your help...
What am I doing now?
*Writing quality articles for external blogs with keyword links back to sites
*Taking the above articles and spinning them at SEOLINKVINE to create several articles
*Writing quality articles for every site's internal blog and using keywords to link out to other sites that are on different servers - All articles are original, varied and not duplicate content.
*Writing quality, relevant articles and submitting them to places like Ezine
*Signing clients up for Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, etc so they have a social presence
*Working to fix mistakes with onsite issues (mirror sites, duplicate page titles, etc.)
*Writing quality keyword-rich unique content on each page of each site
*Submitting URL listings and descriptions to directories like JoeAnt, REALS and business.com
(Any other good ones that people can recommend that give good link juice?)
*Doing competitive research and going after highly authoritative links that our competitors have
That is about it...
HELP!!!
Thanks again
I am getting "No Data" reads for some of my sites -
I personally think it has to do with the site's construction - especially the landing page...
I inherited this site to do SEO - it was not created with on site SEO in mind -
please help if you can
sites are:
Should I get webmaster to remove the big map graphic and add text and pics instead...
Sure appreciate brilliant thoughts - even about yetis and beer
Robert, you are a nice guy and very helpful - so appreciate you and all your help for this newbie...
Thanks for your attempts to help me understand - but I checked everything and the following sites just stopped ranking out of nowhere
www.aplusmidlandstorage
and
arggghhhh...
it drives me crazy -
I upgraded to Pro and now I wonder if I am just wasting the money - have gotten worse crawl reports ever since -

Okay - so i have several campaigns.
And of these campaigns, about four or five of them no longer show up as ranking after several weekly crawls by SEOMoz...
Not sure why the line on the chart just stops when they are ranking in top 5 for google organics
am confused by this
can you help me do what i need to do so that the seobot can read my pages and save me time on checking where i rank -
thanks
Creative Guy
I am sure that asking such a question on SEOMoz will bring the world down on my head, but let's be honest, sometimes buying links, especially high quality links from reputable sources does give a nice boost to go along with the rest of the onsite and offsite SEO practices.
So, those of you who are so anti-link buying that the very mention of it is anathema, please put some duct tape over your mouths or on your typing fingers and allow people who get my point to respond...
I bet there are some really good link sellers on the web - but i do not know who they are. All of them claim to have the fantastic and best way to give me 1000's of wonderful links - but who the heck really delivers?
if there is really no one trustworthy and the only way to build is by way of what I am already doing (mid-quality SEO), feel free to tell me. But if there are 3 or 4 amazing companies out there, please give your reasons and testimonials.
I would so appreciate it.
And apologies to the SEO purists - but my clients do not understand algorithmic changes and slow/steady movements...and i don't blame them.
but to all - love, love, love
thanks for the advice
ben
When I do a rankings search for one of my sites on Google and it appears high in Google places, SEO Moz tracks this as its ranking - but is this its organic ranking? My clients are wondering if things have changed and so am I? Does ranking in the Google places/map appearing on front page of google count as your ranking for that keyword?
Client keeps ignoring the Google places ranking and goes looking for a placement farther down...
Please explain this probably simple question to me...
and if you have official Google references for this, please include them.
I appreciate it a lot...
