I just added the author and publisher tags to my client's site and posted a dance class announcement on Google + with hashtags. When I did a test search on Google, they were showing up above the Place listings and the description under the title was taken from their DMOZ listing, not from the web site description. This is the first time I have seen this. Has anyone else seen DMOZ descriptions showing up in Google SERPs?

I suggest doing a test marketing campaign with your personal and business Facebook page.
Create a catchy headline or comment on the photo, and post that with the link to your web page that should display the photo on that page. With the business page use the Booster promotion option to increase visibility and engagement.
Images drive engagement on Facebook and if they are famous and stunning then people should like them and share them. Make sure to give credit to the photographer.
You could also try the same campaign on Pinterest !
Based on the results / costs of the campaign, adjust and move forward. Good luck !

Structured data - Schema is Good for SEO !

Check if structured data aka schema, microdata is being used on any given web page with webmaster tools <a>www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets</a>If you are trying to improve the page you can also use the Structured Data Markup Helper - html conversion tool to have Google auto-add schema to the page after you choose the relevant category:

Content Marketing Approach
I would approach this from a content marketing view rather than adding pages with links. Use your blog to discuss case studies as they occur in different cities. Example, in Milton, a homeowner needed a general carpet cleaning but requested green non toxic cleaners because of small children. We went in with our top rated brand of xyz cleaner because it did this and that and solved the clients needs. Maybe there is a story in every cleaning that can be developed to educate a reader about carpet cleaning - at least one paragraph - enough for a short blog post.Announce Your Story on Social Media
Then post a short notice about this on Google +, Facebook, and Twitter with a link to the blog - Milton homeowner benefits from green carpet cleaning alternative, etc. If the client wants to offer a review, send them links to where they can do that (Google + is my first choice, but Yelp is also good for carpet cleaning). Over time, your client may have numerous case studies within the specific cities as these would build a "content hub" for that city. Google may start to recognize your client as an authority for carpet cleaning in that area and then page ranking may start to happen.What Does Google Want?
Google wants authentic, real content rather than an obvious attempt to try and fool their search engine algorithm. You could also set up separate blogs with separate domain names for each city such as miltoncarpetcleaning.com but I'm not sure that that will have as much page ranking juice as it used to. Following the trends in Google we need to be careful about how we are using links and trying to take shortcuts for page ranking when shortcuts are being shut down. Then again, there is also the Google Places issue. It's hard to compete when you do not have a physical location in the same city. However I have seen a national company get placed above local listings. A Place for Mom uses landing pages to compete with local assisted living businesses, and in my area they do it very well. If you do want to go with the landing page approach, use them as a model, if they are ranking above the Google Places in those cities, and see how much content they create that is relevant for the local area. A lot of it is educational information. They have huge domain and page authority. Check out their links to the local pages with Open Site Explorer for ideas. -

In Google webmaster Tools there is a "Structured Data Testing Tool", which, although the purpose of it is for rich snippets and microdata, it looks like it can be used to see if Google recognizes the url with the ADDTHIS snippet as still being valid with authorship linked to a Google Plus account.
I pasted your extended url with snippets into the test window, clicked Preview, and it seems to show up fine in their test results.
This may indicate that as as long as Google recognizes the url as being connected to authorship with a Google Plus account, then they would not penalize it because of the added AddThis snippet. Also, AddThis has a 100 domain authority in open site explorer, and there is a tracking link in the script to their site.

I would guess that there is a possibility that if Google's algorhithm recognized their domain as a trusted domain with strong authority, then that would also be helpful to avoid any SEO penalties. (Open Site Explorer shows addthis.com having a 100 domain authority!).

This would have to be a "value added" benefit...the link value has the advantage of the 96 Domain Authority, and the sample page I looked at had a 51 page authority.
The BBB rep I just spoke to about an address change and my own listing told me that you can be in many categories as long as they are relevant. This opens up additional link leverage from category/keyword listings with one membership. Examples are web design, search engine optimization (I did not see SEO), internet marketing, advertising-internet, marketing consultants, etc. so there may be more than one that fits for added link value.
There seems to also be space for a brief description, which could contain keywords
The Facebook and Twitter links are no-follow, and the web site link is a follow link, with no redirect, or anchor text.
The added value of having the BBB accreditation, and hopefully an A+ rating is the fact that not many web marketers have it and the search options on the BBB home page have a BBB accredited filter for category searches. Since our market is becoming more saturated by the minute, a BBB accredited logo on your home page may be a distinctive brand that encourages more confidence with site visitors. They also have a monthly pmt plan of $65. I'm considering membership for the above reasons. If I get one client as a result in a year it would pay for itself or more. Current clients may be impressed with the membership and more likely to give referrals. As far as authority and reputation, it would seem like it would help, maybe not in Google rankings directly, but in the social response to being A+ accredited. The listing that I viewed had a Share This widget, Google+1 button and Facebook like button on the profile page.

How Can I Fix Adobe Bridge Photo Galleries and Duplicate Content?
I have used the Adobe bridge program for a number of photo galleries on a remodeling site and it is showing a large amount of duplicate titles, etc. Is there an easy fix to this? anyone?
