Dr. Kelley Mulhern is a chiropractor, healthcare marketing consultant, professional speaker, and the author of Community Connections! Relationship Marketing for Healthcare Professionals.
Dr. Mulhern graduated magna cum laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2005 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. She also holds master’s degrees in Public Health (Kaplan University) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (Nova Southeastern University), as well as bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Sociology (University of Maine), and Human Biology (Logan College). Since graduating with her doctoral degree, Dr. Mulhern has been licensed in five states and has attended over two thousand hours of post-graduate continuing education. She’s certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractors Association, the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion, the Non-Fiction Author’s Association, and the Association of Independent Authors.

An accomplished speaker and presenter, Dr. Mulhern has conducted hundreds of public and private workshops on a variety of health topics. Some of the companies who’ve benefitted from her health expertise include: Humana; Blue Cross/Blue Shield; Fire Departments in Maine and Missouri; K-12 school systems in Maine and Louisiana; Colleges in Illinois, New Hampshire, and Louisiana; the New Hampshire Medical Assistant Association, as well as numerous small local businesses in Missouri, Maine, New Hampshire, Louisiana and Florida.

For more than two decades, Dr. Mulhern has worked in the healthcare industry in various capacities—as a chiropractic physician in private practice, business owner, mentor, healthcare marketing consultant, professional speaker, and educator. During this time, she’s lived in different regions of the country, providing her with experiences and expertise she can share with other healthcare professionals.

As a family wellness chiropractor, Dr. Mulhern spent years educating her patients so they could make better choices to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Dr. Mulhern has now turned that focus and dedication to educating healthcare professionals on how to be more successful in practice. The more successful each healthcare practitioner is, the greater impact they’ll have with their patients and in their communities.

When Dr. Mulhern first entered private healthcare practice, she couldn’t find a book with marketing ideas appropriate for an independent healthcare business. This struggle provided the inspiration for the Community Connections series. She hopes this series will serve as a road map for healthcare practitioners working to build the practice and community of their dreams. Dr. Mulhern currently lives and practices in St. Petersburg, Florida with her “Ragin’ Cajun” husband Michael. She’s currently working on the second book in the Community Connections series, entitled Practice Excellence! An Integrated Approach to Creating a World-Class Healthcare Practice, due out in the Fall of 2019.
