Hi Radi,
You are not alone. Its the question that all SEO's ask? Why him ?. There is no simple answer for this. Have you compared all your metrics with competitors? I would highly recommend you to see the below video of Rand Fishkin. Hope it answers all.
Hi Jordan,
Yes, I agree with your results. "For Melbourne specifically, my results returned an 11 in the SERP and 12 within Moz: http://www.screencast.com/t/PN4rXC1xyw"
But I failed to mention that above ranking i mentioned is for Google Melbourne. But I dont see MOZ results anywhere close to what it is. . See the screenshot here http://imgur.com/50Ntt2r.
Even now it shows there was a huge drop in ranking but it never happened as we track it regularly.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your reply. But as I mentioned before we are are of the location based results . But the issue is it doesn't match both Local and National search results.
Hi Jorden,
We clearly understand that location factor influence the search result. But I thought that's why MOZ introduced localised search result based on city. Isn't that accurate and one more thing from our research team that even national results for those Local business we are tracking also does not match.
The one sample I gave above is the clear example. "Garden sheds - Moz Reported Rank #7 - Actual Rank : 23" Results doesn't match both Local and National results.
Hi,
We have so many website being tracked in Google AU and we see too much ranking change ( both positive and negative ) but all inaccurate from MOZ. Our Manual Testing result matched correctly with Google where as moz results inaccurate. Is there anything happening .
Our Website: http://www.gardenshed.com.au/
E.g : Garden shed - Moz Reported Rank #4 - Actual Rank : 11
Garden sheds - Moz Reported Rank #7 - Actual Rank : 23
similarly for all other projects .
Hi There,
I see you already got a good reply from Patrick and EGOL. JUst to make it easier for you to understand, link building is more like body building. You can use some pills to get it easily and in short time or you can go for a healthy natural way which is obviously time consuming. You know which is best.
Hi All,
We had a WIX website and now moved to Wordpress. I m having issue while doing redirecting from old URL to new URL.
Example:
Old Url: http://www.firsttraffic.com.au/#!traffic-management/ccfn
New Url: http://www.firsttraffic.com.au/our-services/traffic-management/
I tried different wordpress plugin but nothing works. I m thinking its due to the # . But How can I to redirection for URL like this .
Thanks
Hi,
If you are looking for your content keywords you can find that from Google Webmaster. Login to your webmaster
Webmaster >> Google Index >> Content Keywords.
If you are after anything specific let me know.
Hi,
Its already been answered here : http://moz.com/community/q/can-penalties-be-passed-via-301-redirect.
With my experience I would say, if the site is not penalised , then there is nothing stopping you to do 301 redirect.
Hi Dan
Select dates from top right corner in Audience Overview (GA) and Check total Users
Unique visitors = User
Thanks
Hi,
First and foremost on my list is http://searchengineland.com/ . Apart from that there are many other resources like http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.in, www.searchenginejournal.com , Searchenginewatch.com, http://moz.com/blog, http://mashable.com/category/seo/ and list goes.
Hi All,
I have asked this question before here but haven't got any convincing answers. And now I am starting to see this in couple of my other projects .
I'm not sure how many facing similar issue like mine but its bit tricky.
Our company is based in Melbourne,Australia and we set MOZ campaign setting to google.com.au . The weekly moz ranking for one of the client keyword showed as Position Rank#29. But when I Checked Manually it is Ranking #3. So why does the moz show as 29 ?
**Keyword: **car exhaust
Website: www.professionalexhaust.com.au
To Replicate, I set the google search to google.com.au and on Search Tools I changed location as **Australia ( by default its set to Melbourne ). **When I did search now my result came in Page 3 - No.29 rank.
Note: By default the Google browser picks the location as Melbourne and gives localized result which is not tracked by MOZ. Now how do I track this in Moz to show localized ranking results which my customer see. I cant report this ranking to client, else I have to do a manual report which is time consuming .
Note : This is Tested in InCognito mode with all cache cleared.
Mark as Answered if it helps you . Thanks
Hi,
Yes, blog is creating a follow link back to your website at www.RealEstatemarketLeaders.com . And I see that blog is posted just yesterday and it takes time to show up in MOZ.
Hi,
Looks strange, I just checked my report but all looks good . I would ask you to double check your report setting.
When you set up a monthly report in a campaign, MOZ run all those reports on the 1st of the month, and start sending them out. It may take until the 4th of the month for all of them to run and get emailed and show up in your campaign.
Thanks Jennita, Yes I am starting to see results now . Is there any way I can get them by 1st or 2nd day of the month
How do I set the Moz to produce monthly report on 1st of every month. I dont see any option there. we have 50+ Clients in Moz now and we need to generate report on 1st day of all month to send them report.
Its 3rd Oct today and I don't see my previous month report being generated. Can you guys help me
The correct answer is: yes, but it is not a major factor anymore. Please refer to the another similar post herehere http://moz.com/community/q/can-geographic-location-of-web-server-affect-in-seo
" Server location (through the IP address of the server) is frequently near your users. However, some websites use distributed content delivery networks (CDNs) or are hosted in a country with better webserver infrastructure, so we try not to rely on the server location alone.
Said that, a best practice is to follow one of these options:
