Hi I have a URL that produced page 1, number 1 to 3 for most of our industries top phrases. Then we received a google penalty, (as did several of our competitors on the same day). We were effectively wiped from google. After much disavowing we were allowed back into the search results, this took about 3 months. I have employed the services of a top London SEO company for over a year now and have seen no significant improvement. I believe they are doing there best, however there results are VERY poor. According to the various tools, (searchmetrics, woorank, semrush) to name but a few, our site scores very well, yet we are not getting the results. Page one seems to be full of totally new websites, most of which I have never heard of, and have appeared from nowhere. Should I scrap our URL and put up a completely new one, and put a redirect from the original one? This would be a biggy since our url has been around for 20 years. Thanks for reading. Andy

Essentially what I want to know is - Is it ok to go straight from H1 to H2 without any text in between? e.g. abcd efgh ijklmn opqr stuvwxyz Is google going to see the H1 tag as a loose end without anything underneath it and just going straight to a H2?

Hi People What is the general consensus regarding having bespoke pages for several search phrases? Should you have an individual page on your site for each main key phrase you want to target or should you target several phrases for each page e.g. Target 3 phrases per page. And if having separate pages for key phrase should there be links on site to these pages or is it enough just to have them in a site map? Thanks Andy

Just noticed in web master tools that we are showing 150 not found errors on our site, the majority appear to be from old blog posts that have been deleted, is this damaging from an SEO perspective on a scale from 1-10? Also we have over 100000 not followed errors throughout the same site, is this damaging from an SEO perspective on a scale from 1-10? Thanks in Advance Andy

Hi I have recently put a wordpress blog on my site and have employed a few blog writers, each putting 2 or 3 posts per week up. There brief so far has been to write interesting, humorous and topical articles. Stupid as it may seem I have done this only because the general consensus seemed to be "you must have a blog for SEO" Does it help? Assuming it does: Should I post the same articles to my facebook page and or anywhere else? Should the articles have anchor text linking back to my site? What should I do to make it work well? Hi very new here I have set up 5 campaigns, all of fairly large sites. It appears seomoz has scanned 4 of them down to 250 and 1 down to 10000. the one a really want to see down to 10000, my own site is the one I started scanning first well over a week ago. How do I get seomoz to scan further? Thanks

Hi if I search google UK for the phrase car leasing, google returns my listing as Car Lease Deals However the same search on Yahoo or Bing bring back Contract Hire | Vehicle & Car Leasing Deals | Car Lease Deals this is the real page title. Why would this happen? Thanks Andy
