Is there a tool to check if the Google Analytics code is present on every page of a website? Thanks for your help!

Why the Google Adwords Keywords tool says there are 0 local monthly searches for a keyword or shows a dash, but in spite of this there's competition for those keywords (up to 0.42 in some cases) ? Thanks!!

In OSE's, "Followed Linking Root Domains" are defined as "The number of root domains that have at least one followed link to a page or domain." Does this mean that if one of my competitors has, let's say, 1000 followed linking root domains, they have a link pointing to them on the homepage of 1000 other sites? Thanks for your help!

We have an e-commerce site, and we use Google Analytics. We have created a "sales" goal + the funnel. Our funnel has the following structure: shopping cart - register - login - address - shipping - payment method - confirmation - sales This helps us track "goal abandonment". But we're also interested in tracking "shopping cart abandonment". For example we can see that 100 visitors enter the shopping cart, and 80 of them proceed to register or other steps in the funnel. This means that 20% left the car (shown by a red arrow in Google Analytics). Is there other way to see how many people left the shopping cart without proceeding to any of the other steps in the funnel, for example, people that closed their browsers or went to a page in the site not included in the funnel? I know I'm missing something here... Thanks!

We will change an old school  HTML drop down navigation for an AJAX drop down one. What's your experience in regards to Google indexing AJAX? Hi, This is happening with a brand new site. We have created sitemaps and submitted them to Google Webmaster Tools. GWT says sitemaps are ok, "x" number of urls submitted, but no urls indexed. When I check in Google with site:domain.com I see that many of the urls are already indexed. Why this discrepancy between GWT and reality? Thanks for your time!

Hi, We are running  a campaign for a website in SEOmoz. We get a dup content issue warning: http://www.oursite.com and http://www.oursite.com/ are being seen as 2 different urls. Only difference among 2 urls is the trailing slash at the end of the second url. Why is this happening? I was aware of www vs non www but never heard of an issue related to the slash. We have a website which has: a) a top navigation with links to top categories b) a footer with links to top categories and to every subcategory c) the following structure: home > category > subcategory > items For usability purposes I plan to remove the links at the bottom and add a drop down menu to each top category in top navigation. I plan to make all links in the top nav no follow in order to be able to do pagerank sculpting for each category (will build links that point to each category and pass link juice to subcategories and then to items, but I don't want link juice to spread across all of the site through links in the footer, which as said before will be removed) Is pagerank sculpting still valid? What do you think of my plan? Thanks for your time.

Here comes another one related to SEOmoz "On-Page Optimization" Tool. The tool says the following about one of our pages: Canonical URL Tag Usage Explanation: Although the canonical URL tag is generally thought of as a way to solve duplicate content problems, it can be extremely wise to
use it on every (unique) page of a site to help prevent any query strings, session IDs, scraped versions, licensing deals or future
developments to potentially create a secondary version and pull link juice or other metrics away from the original. We believe
the canonical URL tag is a best practice to help prevent future problems, even if nothing is specifically duplicate/problematic
today. Recommendation: Add a canonical URL tag referencing this URL to the header of the page. Let's say our page is http://www.example.com/brands/abc-brand and on its header we'll place the following tag: Is this correct? I thought the canonical tag was meant for duplicates of the original page, for example: http://www.example.com/brands/print/abc-brand href="http://www.example.com/brands/abc-brand**?SESSID=123** Thanks in advance.

We ran SEOmoz's "On-Page Optimization" tool on a url which contains the character "_". According to the tool: "Characters which are less commonly used in URLs may cause problems with accessibility, interpretation and ranking in search engines. It is considered a best practice to stick to standard URL structures to avoid potential problems." "Rewrite the URL to contain only standard characters." Therefore we will rewrite the url, replacing "_" with "-". Will search engines consider the "-" url a different one? Do we need to 301 the old url to the new one? Thanks for your help!

We have redesigned a website. The old site used to have lots of urls, the new sites has far less. We have pointed all old urls to the new urls with 301 redirects. This happened a couple of weeks ago. But we are still getting many 404 errors in Google Webmaster Tools. What's the reason for this? Thanks in advance.

We have an e-commerce website. We would like to feature content from our blog on the site's homepage (both on same domain). The content we want to feature is latest posts titles (say 5) plus the few first lines from each post. We want search engines to be able to read this content. Howdy everyone! Wish you the best for 2012! We have a client who is ranked #1 for keyword "blue widgets". Their site's homepage title has the keyword "blue widgets" in it and has been the same for 10yrs+. Recently they have added other types of widgets to their offering. Is it safe to change their title by adding more keywords to it? For example: "blue widgets | green widgets | brand x widgets". May our client lose their ranking if we change their title? I have compared 3 sites in open site explorer. The total # of links in the subdomain metrics report for one of the urls is 46,787. Where is that number coming from? There's 125 total external followed links and 132 total external links. I cannot see the number for internal links, but I'm sure it isn't 40000+. So 46,787 is the result of the addition of what? Thanks a lot for your help, and sorry for this newbie question 🙂
