As president of Coopers DIY, he is responsible for financial performance and cultural oversight, including: product development, finance, human resources, sales and marketing, and production for the Coopers DIY brands. A jack-of-all-trades executive, Rick’s dynamic leadership is built on his firsthand experience and success in improving workplace atmosphere, collaboration, efficiencies and results within and across finance, IT and sales and marketing functions. Between 2004 and 2014, Rick held the titles of chief financial officer and vice president, operations and played an integral role in due diligence preparation for and transition following 2012 sale to Coopers DIY.

An expert in systems development, Rick has led implementation and integration of countless new accounting, manufacturing and information systems at Coopers DIY, LLC and is an active leader in the Microsoft Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG) – designed to connect, foster knowledge sharing and increase competency among software user operations professionals. As a national advisory committee member and Arizona regional chapter chairman, Rick helps guide the 20,000+ member group’s strategic direction and annual meeting content and shares best practices via presentations and webinars.

Rick’s past work experience includes software networking consulting with GS Networking Solutions, Colorado, serving as controller for Westmed, Inc. – manufacturer of anesthesia and respiratory medical devices – and, accounting roles with both Lasertel and Leoni, B-to-B suppliers of high-power lasers, and automotive wires and cable systems, respectively.

Beyond beer, Rick is passionate about motorcycles, golf and photography and enjoys coaching youth soccer and volunteering with his church to improve local schools.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and marketing from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
