Golfing in Thailand
When people think of golfing in foreign countries, most imagine a vast Scottish highland or an expansive Australian golf course. Thailand, however, is ideal for those who are looking to play golf in a much more exotic environment.
In Thailand, the weather is almost always dry and sunny, which is perfect for golfing. Between the months of November and May is the time when Thailand is at its driest, especially in the north, which is mostly kept cool by the northeastern monsoon winds from November to February.
The southern part of Thailand is a very different matter. It is usually broken down in two seasons: the wet one, and the dry one. You would do well to carefully plan your trip to ensure you pick the best time of the year for golfing!
Thailand has about over two-hundred golf courses scattered across its territory, meaning that you have a lot to pick from. While we can’t possibly list them all here, we’ve chosen three golf courses of varying budgets for your perusal.
The Springfield Royal Country Club is a traditional golf course situated in the Phetchaburi province of Thailand, not too far away from Hua Hin District. This golf course is a great choice for those who are not looking to spend much money,
Also located in the Hua Hin District, the Banyan Golf Club is a more luxurious alternative to the aforementioned golf course. Finally, the Alpine Golf and Sports Club is one of Thailand’s most exclusive golf courses, designed for those who take great pride and joy in practicing the sport.
