Hi Thomas. Thanks again.

Thanks Thomas!
I should point out that the U.S. domain is hosted in the U.S. and the China domain is hosted in China.
Not sure if that makes a lick of difference.
Hi Mozzers!
I have a U.S. website and a Chinese version of that U.S. website.
The China site only gets direct and PPC traffic because the robots.txt file is disallowing the SEs from crawling it.
Question: If I added English sku descriptions and English content to the China site (which is also on our U.S. site), will the SEs penalize us for duplicate content even though the robots.txt file doesn’t allow them to see it?
I plan on translating the descriptions and content to Chinese at a later date, but wanted to ask if the above was an issue.
Thanks Mozzers!
Thanks Andy. Much appreciated.
Hello Community!
We are rewriting URLs to better rank and provide better visual usability to our visitors.
Would it be better to serve a URL that looks like this:
www.domain.com/category-subcategory
or
www.domain.com/category/subcategory
Please note the slight difference--the 2nd URL calls out a category that has a subcategory under it. Would it give us more value? Does it make a difference?
Thanks in advance!
I am also interested in finding the best sources for reporting on the effectiveness of using social media. I know that Google Analytics allows lookup of social conversion, assists and last interaction analyis, but I feel like I need more proof.
That is, it would be great to say that social media account x, had a conversion rate of x, and that a specific post, tweet, photo, infographic, etc., was the catalyst for the conversion.

There are many articles out there, some outdated, and I am confused as to how to determine the value/worth (in terms of estimated revenue and traffic percentage) when you achieve a #1 ranking in google. I am also looking for a way to estimate the value, say, if a lower ranked keyword jumped to a better position--what that increase might be. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the response RankSurge.
I am torn on this as I was raised on implementing keywords first and the brand second. I was also raised on left to right reading for importance of keywords that described the page you were about to visit. Visitors (to my site anyway) search for products first, not brand names.
Specifically, I rank #2 for "outdoor enclosures" (L-com.com). So, you're saying I should reverse the order and I might see an increase in daily clicks?
Thanks!
Hi Everyone,
I did some research on eadgear and was able to find a referral ID which I could use to create an account on their site. They are ad revenue site which allows users to view and rate websites and somehow get paid for it. Looks a little shady.
However, I still don't know understand how the top referral page /members/surfbar.php points to my site at www.L-com.com. I tried to replicate what they did, but could not.
UPDATE: my analytics show that I stopped getting referrals from eadgear.com on October 6, 2011.
Happen to anyone else?
Thanks for the reply. The content on the root domain would match the original URL, so I would be good there. In theory, would redirecting to the root domain also strengthen domain authority?
I've got a UK domain that I need to redirect to a US domain. Should I point it to the root domain or a landing page off the root and what it the benefit to doing one over the other?
Hi everyone,
eadgear.com started showing up in our analytics on 7/29/11 and we definitely see the spike in referrals. I don't know if this will be a negative to our site or not in the future. We aren't making any revenue from them.
