There’s no dearth of rags-to-riches stories around us despite the crimes and scandals that seem to dominate the news.
Jean-Pierre Cellent is one such example.
Hers is a story that couldn’t have been told had Jean Cellent had given up. If he folded from pressure, everybody would have understood. In fact, most people would have expected it considering that he’s being raised by a single mother as they were mired in poverty in the streets of Philadelphia. His father was deported to Haiti and everything seemed bleak.
At 12 years old, he was already hanging out with the wrong crowd. In fact, it was no small miracle that he lived to share her story now.
He was 15 when her life completely changed, and that’s when he found God in her life. After he surrendered her life to a higher power, it seemed as if some unseen hand was charting her life, steering he away from bad decisions and serendipitously introducing her to the right people.
