I’m a published author, award-winning research writer, freelance writer, and former columnist. My articles, content, and editorials have appeared in nearly 250 magazines, newspapers, and websites. I’ve also written company and professional profiles, done non-profit writing, and worked as a newspaper journalist.

I’m a versatile non-fiction writer with a broad range of interests. I write light articles on family fun, relationships, and home decorating. I also write serious, well-researched articles and content on health/mental health, safety issues, parenting, social problems, and more. Not to mention, I’ve passionately penned editorials on controversial social and political issues.

Aside from her writing career, Kimberly is an advocate for better mental health care for those with a serious mental illness. In 2015, she took charge by creating efforts to get the bipartisan Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act passed. She played an instrumental role by leading a group of 200 advocates through various efforts. Ultimately, this became the mental health care portion of the 21st Century Cures Act. It was signed into law by President Obama in December 2016.
