Hello! Duplicating content is one of the worst things you can do, so I definitely don't recommend doing this. It won't be expensive to have a copywriter rewrite the content on the existing website, so I think you should do this. It certainly won't be as expensive as the new site not getting indexed or worse, delisted from Google due to the duplicated content. Content is one of the most important parts of the website, so don't skimp on it. Have a nice day!

RE: Using same copy on different domain
I have been building websites since I was around 15 years old, although not professionally until I was in my early twenties. I have been involved in over 250 website projects since I first started.
I was born in Reading and have lived most of my life here, apart from some brief stints in the countryside or in London. My business base will be here in Berkshire long term, as that's where most of my clients are. I enjoy working with websites, marketing them, looking after them, and fixing them when I need to. Web design is a great industry.
