Starting in 1998 with a goal of 'creating a website' for our church I learned HTML and CSS with a cup of coffee in one hand and an book on HTML in the other.
In 2001 I hand coded my own eCommerce store, for 2 weeks I wandered around trying to think of something that I could get for free and sell online for a profit. One day while walking through my mom's house I saw a piece of driftwood sitting on a shelf. Having something that I could 'sell' after getting it freely was the motivation that I needed to create my first online store.
The store was a roaring success! This started me on my journey in site development, eCommerce, SEO, PPC, conversion rate optimization, and consulting which still continues until this day.
