Jeff Strickler founded Mercenary Technologies LLC in 2005, to support the technical needs of startups and small to mid-sized businesses in the pacific northwest. Prior to starting Mercenary, Jeff served in a variety of roles, that positioned himself as a leader in software development, technical architecture, analyzing processes and implementing technology solutions and product development for an array of businesses and platforms.
Jeff has led teams and customer groups around the world including the US, India, Canada, Germany, Turkey and South America. At Walt Disney Internet Group, he designed and implemented a content brokering system for news syndication that significantly cut newsfeed content development by weeks. In 2003, Jeff led a virtual team of over 40 people at Seattle’s Group Health Cooperative. Under timeline constraint and regulatory scrutiny, his team successfully developed, tested and released four customer-facing healthcare portals for a new system that proved to be a key differentiator in the regional market and one of the first of its kind in the country. In 2005, Jeff led software development for streaming media pioneer, Real Network’s $60 million digital media subscription service.
Jeff lives in Walla Walla, Washington with his wife and three children, where he enjoys skiing, backpacking, cheese making, woodworking, and gardening. He attended Luther College, earning his B.A. in Computer Science and Business Management and an International Management Certification in 2000.
