Hi, I have a website which is ranking on page 1: www.oldname.com/landing-page But because of legal reason i had to change the name.
So i moved the landing page to a different domain.
And 301'ed this landing page to the new domain (and removed all products). www.newname.com/landing-page All the meta data, titles, products are still the same. www.oldname.com/landing-page is still on the same position
And www.newname.com/landing-page was on page 1 for 1 day and is now on page 4. What did i do wrong and how can I fix this?
Maybe remove www.oldname.com/landing-page from Google with Google Webmaster Central or not allow crawling of this page with .htaccess ?

Hi, I have the following setup: www.example.com/nl
www.example.com/de
www.example.com/uk
etc
www.example.com is 301'ed to www.example.com/nl But now www.example.com is ranking instead of www.example.com/nl
Should is block www.example.com in robots.txt so only the subfolders are being ranked?
Or will i lose my ranking by doing this.

Hi I have a webshop for my own clothing and boots brand.
The boots brand is changing name soon and i will move it to another domain. I will off course 301 the boot related urls to the new domain to pass on link juice. But now i have the option to go for bootbrand.com/uk bootbrand.com/nl bootband.com/de or use the local tld which i own allready. Bootbrand.nl bootbrand.de etc Knowing that i own both .com and the local tld's what would be the best option for SEO?

Hi, I have the following url structure in my webshop: www.example.com/nl www.example.com/de www.example.com/fr www.example.com/uk I have set up each local store in Google Webmaster Tools with the correct localization.
But for the Belgium market i dont have a seperate site. Half of them speak dutch (nl) and half of them speak french (fr). Will Google show the correct site (nl or fr) based on their language? Or will my sites not show up because belgium is not being used in my GWT ? Thanks.

Hi, I have a magento 1.7 multilanguage store with the following structure: www.example.com/nl and www.example.com (Dutch) www.example.com/uk (English) www.example.com/de (German) As you can see the dutch language basically has two url and this gives problems according to Roger. Both urls show the same page and therefor duplicate content. Should i 301 www.example.com to www.example.com/nl ?
And would this not cause problems with the indexing because www.example.com is shown when searching for my keywords. I need to have all three languages to be indexed good and used only for the correct countries.
