RE: 301 redirect help
Try changing the last line to:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://new-domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

RE: 301 redirect help
Whats in your .htaccess file at the moment?
I think in your .htaccess your redirect should be setup something along the lines of:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.old-domain.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://new-domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
Someone else could probably make that a bit neater but something like this should work.

RE: Add Rel Canonical to all pages on my site (Magento)
Hi,
Have you have you had a look at the Yoast magento canonical plugin . Also he has a good article on general magento optimisation. Have to admit these might be a bit dated I just remembered them from when I was doing some stuff with magento a while back. Hope it helps as a starting point though.

How long do old links stay in Open SIte Explorer stats?
Hi,
In Open Site Explorer has around 2000 External followed links which would be great if it was true. I think the issue is that before my site wasn't appending slashes to the url so I think it was counting links from http://mydomain/page1 to http://mydomain/page2/ as an external link (could be wrong here). I corrected this a couple of months ago but I still seem to have over 2000 External links. When I look at the linking pages many of them are "sans slash" and have old anchor text in the link.
How long does it take of OSE to update these stale links it there any way I can prompt it to take aciton?

Can I reduce link count by no following links?
Hi,
A large number of my pages contain over 100 links. This is due to a large drop down navigation which is on every page. To reduce my link count could I just no follow these navigation links or would I have to remove the navigation completely?

RE: Why am I getting 400 client errors on pages that work?
Hi Robert,
Thanks for you response. I've resolved the issue now. I started by doing a crawl test which gave me the same number of 400 urls but revealed that they contained "../../../" in them which seems to be something annoying the cms I'm using creates (these weren't being displayed like this in the campaign error view). I've corrected these urls and done a crawl and I seem to be clear of 400s.

Why am I getting 400 client errors on pages that work?
