I was born and raised in western Massachusetts in the town of Dalton which was established in 1784 in an area known as “The Berkshires” in Berkshire county. This is an exceptionally beautiful area lush with streams, rivers, woods, pastures, farms, and many cultural attractions such as the Tanglewood music center, the Norman Rockwell museum, and the homesteads of Nathaniel Hawthorn, Edith Wharton, and Herman Melville. The “Berkshire Hills” are a favorite destination for many New Englanders but especially residents of New York City.
I began my career in Massachusetts after obtaining my Associates degree but moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1991 to further my education and pursue my bachelor’s. While working part time in school, I was able to continue working in my field and since graduating in 1995 have made South Carolina my home and have continued my career in Advertising, Design, and Marketing.
I consider myself an artist and enjoy the creative aspects of Marketing. It may not be art, but it involves the aspect of creating appealing elements with the intention of engendering a response from its audience, so successful achievement of a marketing or promotional plan carries with it a satisfaction like that of creating an actual piece of art.
