Juan E. Romero brings more than twenty years of fashion and design trend experience to his role as Creative Director at 65 MCMLXV. The formation of this stylish and affordable men and women’s sportswear line is the culmination of his design career. Romero has since worked for several large design companies where he diligently honed skills in fashion design, technical design and graphic design. He has also merchandised and designed a wide variety of product categories for all tiers of distribution from mass to department store.
In Romero’s current role as Owner and Creative Director at 65 MCMLXV he is responsible for managing the entire Design and Merchandising process from conception to final production. 65 MCMLXV is a NYC-based contemporary Men’s and Women’s sportswear collection that is stylish and affordable and is available online at www.65mcmlxv.com . Romero graduated Pratt Institute in 1988 with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design.
Romero’s excellent technical knowledge of fit, garment construction and styling coupled with his singular design aesthetic gives him a unique insight into what makes clothes both fashionable and wearable. He has a discerning eye for what is on trend and what’s coming ahead and can effectively interpret trends correctly for his customers. Most of all, he appreciates the small details and how they affect the larger picture of culture and lifestyle for an ever-changing consumer. He is an enthusiastic 4.0 tennis player and an avid traveler.
