Just please let me get it clear: So I shouldn't use Rel Author on homepage? and assign the website G+ as the author?
Publisher is enough?
Hi Gina, Sheldon,
Thanks for your answers.
As you can see here: www.websiteplanet.com I already did what you said long ago.
Every page on my website have rel=publisher of the company g+ account and every post / review etc.. have in addition rel=author of the personal author.
My question is, should I set rel author ot homepage also? and set it as the company g+ profile.
Hey,
Recently we are quite disturbed about if we should assign our business g+ page as an author for main pages of the site and home page?
I will explain shortly:
We are a group of professionals that write content (each one on his own subject), the posts / reviews / videos etc... we make are each assigned to our personal g+ profiles.
Now my question is:
What should we do with pages like the homepage or main pages?
Should we assign the website g+ business page as the author? or publisher is enough?
So basically if there is more than 1 author, the code needs to look like this:
?
Thanks!
Hi,
I have a question that kinda bothers me for a while now and would love to hear you guys thoughts on this matter.
One of the categories in my websites is services reviews, for example:
http://www.websiteplanet.com/review/questionform/
Recently we upgraded the site and gave users the option to write their own review as well.
Now as you can see, the way it works is that we write a very big and informative/professional review ourself and in addition we give users the option to write their own reviews and share their experience with the service.
Now My question is:
There is the itemprop-review count thingy, now we did it so if 0 users wrote a review it will show 0 reviews on the count.
Is it correct? (Feel free to check the site code yourself)
Or is it wrong? because their is actually 1 review (our editors review)
I hope I explained my self well...
If not, please let me know what is unclear.
Thanks!
for example if me and 2 co-workers of mine worked on a post, is it possible to add 3 rel=author of our google plus's?
I pretty much tried it, I guess I shall wait a little longer for his reply.
If none is given, I will disavow his link I guess.
Thanks everyone !
Yes I am sure it's hurting me as it is a link from 1,000's of his pages, horrible & nasty sitewide.
The thing about Disavow is that I heard it isn't really reommended to use it, especially if you are the reason that this link is there.
I am maybe not the reason but it is a SEO company that I hired...
Do you guys sitll think I should use it?
We do have some super high quality links by the way.
This slap really came out of nowhere , caused us to lose about 65% of our organic traffic.
Do you have any other suggestions for me :)?
Hi Mozzers,
We recently worked with an SEO company that bought a few sitewide links without our permission which caused us to get a huge slap by the last panda/penguin update.
We managed to remove most of the links except one site (The biggest one).
He simply doesn't reply to our emails etc...
What should I do in such case?
Thanks.
Hi Tom,
Thanks again for your valuable reply, I appreciate it.
if you consider those 1 page links from extremely related & trusted websites as "Low quality" links then I don't know what a good link is.
However, those links you mentioned are links from partners we work with and none of them are sitewide, it doesn't violate TOS in any sort of way and those links are also bringing us relevant and converting traffic, regardless of SEO.
the blogohblog you first mentioned is indeed a terrible mistake and it's under investigation.
If you will check closely you will also see that we do not try to "push" any specific anchor our anchors are mostly general/related to the text anchors.
This edu link comment you gave is worthless, i have no idea who put it there but in no way it should harm our website.
Even with the blogperfume bug and the blogohblog mistake I honestly don't think we deserve any sort of slapping from google or our brand name to disappear so I think it is something else.
