Job Title: Managing Partner
Company: The Minaya Law Offices, PLLC
Attorney Radoyka “Roe” J. Minaya is the founder and managing member of The Minaya Law Offices, PLLC. Ms. Minaya attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. where she earned her Bachelor’s degree while on a full academic scholarship. She thereafter earned her law degree from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University where she attended part-time in the evenings while working full-time during the day. Ms. Minaya graduated at the top of her class after being invited to participate in both Moot Court and The Law Review Honor Societies. Attorney Minaya knows the meaning of hard work and relentless pursuit of success. This same tenacity with which she approaches her personal life translates into every case she handles, no matter how big or how small.
Attorney Minaya began her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida. In her role as Assistant Attorney General, she handled and litigated numerous cases involving family-related matters such as child custody, parental rights, parenting plans, domestic violence, adoptions, visitation, and paternity, among other matters. Her extensive family law experience and litigation background proves invaluable for families navigating the child dependency system against ChildNet and DCF.
Ms. Minaya thereafter pursued a legal career in private practice where she focused on the areas of foreclosure and bankruptcy, representing national lenders and servicers in hundreds of routine and highly-litigated foreclosure actions throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Minaya was quickly promoted to Managing Attorney; however, she walked away from her role as Managing Attorney of a large firm to pursue her true passion: using her legal talent and compassionate personality to help individuals successfully overcome their most difficult times.
Attorney Roe Minaya now represents individuals in their family-law related matters, and foreclosure defense. Ms. Minaya believes in truly listening to each client and investing time upfront with them to fully understand their objectives in order to develop a strategy that suits each client’s unique needs. Ms. Minaya understands that communicating clearly and candidly with clients eliminates surprises and allows clients to take an active role in how their case is resolved. Attorney Minaya is also an advocate for the legal rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Ms. Minaya is a Florida Spanish-speaking attorney. Many clients choose Ms. Minaya as their Spanish-speaking lawyer in South Florida not only because of her impeccable legal credentials, but also because of her ability to fluently speak their language and understand their culture.
