So I'm about to migrate one domain to another.  Lets say I'm migrating boo.com to foo.com.  Boo.com has good organic traffic & has some really well ranked pages.  For this reason (I think) I want to send that traffic to some where other than the foo.com homepage.  Perhaps a catered landing page.  My question is can I redirect some of the specific pages on boo.com to a landing page on foo.com & then redirect the delta to foo.com's homepage? Or am a risking not fully transferring the full credit of one domain to another if I take that approach & therefore I should just redirect one domain to the other in its entirety?

Trying to decide on whether placing a link to the blog in our top level navigation would have a better SEO value than just placing it in top or footer navigation.

The whole purpose of errors and warnings is to indicate that it is a problem that needs to be fixed. The SEOmoz crawl should be able to realize that there is a canonical tag on the page and not count it as a "warning"

So...I know Google secret sauce is just what secret but on a couple occasions I've seen a Phenomenon occur that I'd like some help understanding.  I work at a fairly new eCommerce sit called www.savvisdirect.com.  We have the normal new site desires...more traffic.  Most of our traffic is coming from CPC but we were seeing about a 33% increase in organic wk over wk, until...we drastically cut our CPC spend on Google for a wk.  Then organic dropped by about 1/3'rd.  Nothing else changed, that's it.  I know Google says that CPC spend doesn't affect rankings but I've seen this phenomenon a couple time @ a couple different sites & I'm getting to the point where I just don't believe it.  What's your perspective on this?
