RE: Can a third-party advertising agency lock me out of Adwords?
Interesting question you pose.
Do you have permission from your boss to look at adwords account? If so then I would think that you should have access.. Agencies wont want you accessing account and making changes however as you mention its very useful to be able to see which keywords are gaining best ctr so that you can repeat in your SEO efforts. Forgive me for being cynical however their refusal to allow you access could hide a number of issues eg the change history will reveal how much work they are doing (or not). Even worse they could be spending your firms budget direct ads to other sites. If they wont allow you access you need to get some very good reasons indeed. Otherwise time for a new agency imho.

RE: How long does it take for link juice to pass
There is indeed so much misinformation out there. We still receive emails from SEO companies offering such wizrardry as keyword density and meta keyword techniques.. I agree that Matt Cutts and SEOmoz are great resources.

RE: How long does it take for link juice to pass
Thats interesting and makes good sense. I had read elsewhere that there is some lag involved. I may be a little cynical though this misinformation could be proposed by SEOs to their clients...

How long does it take for link juice to pass
If I were to receive a follow link from a blogger with DA 40 PA 40 today, relevant anchor text linking to correct page, etc., how long do you consider it takes until maximum SEO effect is achieved? Thanks

RE: Is having the company's address in the footer (or header) of each webpage important for SEO?
Not only this, but it helps increase conversion too. Customers that know there's a physical location they can go to if necessary means they are more likely to buy from you, as they will have more confidence in the legitimacy of your company.

RE: How to ask for a backlink?
I would suggest that you try and be a little more focussed. Research sites that you might like to obtain a link from and if they have a good Domain Authority then its worth a few hours working on a strategy. Perhaps you have information they might be interested in? If they dont have their own SEO then perhaps running their site through site crawler and giving them a free mini site audit, reporting any broken links, etc. Achieve goodwill and remember the old adage 'Givers Get'

RE: Which Directory Sites to Choose?
Roger
Thanks for that advice.
I just downloaded quite a good whitepaper from http://www.fastdirectorysubmitter.com/ which seems makes sense to me. Any of you have used this site or similar?
Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to give your advice. I think you make good points.

Thanks

RE: Which Directory Sites to Choose?
Thanks Mike The seomoz contains 180 directories with some of them towards bottom of list described as weak? Why have they listed these weak links? Also, as I am in the UK a) Should it make much difference as to which directories I use? b) As I am hoping to optimise for google.co.uk in the main, is there a different approach I should take due to my location?
