RE: Wordpress Site Structure and H1 Tags
Web designer said she can't change out the H1 tags due to the layout of the website. Looking at the backend, I see pages, subpages and sub-subpages - I just wondered if there was some rule-of-thumb in laying out a Wordpress site whereupon a person didn't stack pages like this to avoid this problem of if it was simply a theme issue.

RE: Wordpress Site Structure and H1 Tags
Thank you - I will bring up a theme change. I just didn't know if the structure of how you lay out your website and how subpages and pages under subpages affected SEO. What is the best practice for this?

Is it stil a rule that Google will only index pages up to three tiers deep? Or has this changed?
I haven't looked into this in a while, it used to be that you didn't want to bury pages beyond three clicks from the main page. What is the rule now in order to have deep pages indexed?

Wordpress Site Structure and H1 Tags
We are working on optimizing a client's website and asked the client's webmaster to change a handful of H1 tags. The webmaster said they could not do to the existing names being pre-set in the design.
The website is built in Wordpress. The client has repeating H1 tags due to the 'design'. I have attached a snapshot of the backend.
Is there a rule around Wordpress site structure where this doesn't happen? Is it worth changing? If so,what is the best solution.
Thank you ahead of time.

Screaming Frog Content Showing charset=UTF-8
I am running a site through Screaming Frog and many of the pages under "Content" are reading text/html; charset=UTF-8. Does this harm ones SEO and what does this really mean? I'm running his site along with this competitors and the competitors seems very clean with content pages reading text/html.
What does one do to change this if it is a negative thing?
Thank you

RE: Googe+ personal profile & business page conundrum
It has been my experience that Google Plus is a lot like Facebook in the way they break out their Personal and Business pages. They make it difficult to solicit others through your Business page. I do what you are doing, put the original post on the business page, switch over to my Personal page and Share that post so that the people I have pulled in personally can see it. I have noticed people will click on my post and go to my business page and follow me from there.
Hope this helps.

Google Places and Name Change
Hello - I have a client who is a realtor and changed agencies. I edited their Google Places entry and the new name of their agency and address are showing - but so is their old listing. The agency they left is now trying to sue them for showing up in a number one position with Google Places under their agency name.
Is this an indexing issue with Google? Their name shows up under both agency names. The corrected one shows most often, but the old one is still popping up on occasion.
Thanks,

In the business of Internet Marketing and Social Media, there is a lot of stalking done in efforts to target our marketing message or put our brand in front of the right people. Getting your demographics right and then finding those people online, who are freely putting most of their information out there for all to see, is the simplest and most affordable way to get the most leverage out of your brand and content.
I love the business of SEO - it oddly fits my personality having the need to find the why behind everything and using testing and analysis to do so.
