I have a client that I work with that is a real estate business. They aren't in need or don't want to pay for full seo services at this time, but would like to do some basic page analysis and correction to make sure their pages are at least somewhat properly target for their keywords. The SEOMOZ tools that I have access to as a PRO are overkill for their needs. Do you all know of any basic tools that can just handle something like the page analysis feature of seomoz? It seems like a useful feature where I can see what backlinks look like right now vs. the last monthly Moz dataset update. That is mostly because my site is new, but wondered if I was missing something. Thanks, Steven

I am working through the SEO Moz tools and came across something strange. I was hoping someone more familiar could help me understand. Turn off Google's personal search and use the term "Lake Keowee Real Estate". Compare the first two results that come back. Rank 2 has 5o times more inbound links and significantly more domain authority etc. Any quick explanation for things like this? I can't seem to get a reliable answer on this one. It seems to be split down the middle as far as who agrees and who doesn't, of course some of that content is outdated. So, for today, should I be using the meta keywords tag or not? Thanks, Steven

What is the best seomoz tool and or indicator within a tool for checking on a link (directory or article site) to evaluate whether or not you would actaully want a link from them? Any way to see if google penalizes them for there tactics or if that can hurt me by them linking to me or whatever? I am at the beginning of a link building mission, but want to ensure that I do it methodically and correctly as possible based on the combines wisdom of this community. Thanks for your help, Steven

I am relatively new at this and see a variety of people that seem to disagree on if you should block google from indexing category and tag pages through robot.txt or no-follow because of google viewing it as duplicate content. I tryst this communities answers over the web at large obviosly, so what do you all think? Thanks, Steven

First off, thanks to what I can already tell is a great community here. I've never seen so much solid information in one place. I am working on a real estate website that brings a better experience to high end lake front home buyers in our area. The lakes name is Lake Keowee and it is in Seneca, SC. My url is keoweepremier.com Some of the top competitors seem to use link exchange options that don't seem relavent, yet they are ranking quite high. I am only a month or two in, and just looking for feedback from you all on tips for my path forward and approximately how long it will take to you some of my work pay off in the results.
