7 yrs in BA as a software engineer (started Windows programming career with the very first version 1.02)

Left to work on commercial software with Threadz, who developed the multi-million selling Lotus Organizer. 6 years as chief architect and development manager ending with a year spent with Lotus/IBM at their Cambridge MA headquarters.

Compelled to embrace web technologies so joined Dell with responsibility for leading one of three teams developing the company’s online store.

Liked smaller organizations - more demonstrable connection with bottom line, so joined software start-up Exclaimer Ltd as Chief Architect to design and develop a smart/reusable platform for the rapid development of tools that augment the functionality of Microsoft Exchange with a variety of services such as centralised signature management. During this period, the company developed a large product range and built revenues from a standing start to over £5m in 2013.

Desire to become a more commercially focused technologist, completed an MBA at Ashridge and applied analytical skills + experience in the effective use of computer systems, to building Exclaimer’s digital marketing capability.

Idea for own consultancy giving quality advice + full service products led to the start of Smokin Donut Ltd

Completed a PGCE to offer professional digital training + services to all.
