RE: WordPress – parent category "blog" instead of regular "post page"?
People use "BLOG" concept where you have already established website & wants to add another BLOG section to post on regular basis. When you are already using Wordpress then this is also will be taken as Blog because you are are publishing new posts on daily basis.
I won't recommend you to change parent category as BLOG If you are not creating full product or services website on Domain.

RE: Do industry specific domains help SEO?
Very good question.
Yesterday, I was discussing the same concept with my seniors. For Search engines it always give preferences as per my knowledge & experience like
-
.tv domain for Live TV industry
-
.media & .news for Media industry
I saw that websites with these domains get some more advantage or preference in ranking, yes for ranking all SEO techniques need to be follow.
& If we talk from the common people perspective they are familiar with .com, .co.uk, .es or .net domains. sites with TLD are more able to connect with users.
but I will always try first to take .com, .in, .net, .co.uk type domains.
Here are some expectations too like if name & domain is same as your company name Go for it like
Company name is Visually
&
website url - visual.ly

302 redirection from .com to .in. Google is indexing both urls
Hello Fellow members,
I am sharing the problem what I am facing from client which is another division of my company ( taking as a client). Please recommend me a full proof solution.
My client runs a fashion e-commerce site by .com domain in India but after 2 years they took decision that in India, only .in domain site would run with INR prices & outside in "$" prices.
Now when If someone is searching with .com domain in India site is 302 redirecting into the .in domain.
In India only .in site is working & outside .com but Google is indexing pages of both sites. With .com domain 5 lakhs + pages are indexed & from .in domain only 2600 pages.
Content of both sites almost 95% same. I already recommended to put rel=canonical tag on both sites but this is not the permanent solution.
They have started .in domain to show prices in "$" & "INR" only. Can you recommend me the best possible answer to solve this issue.

RE: Google how deal with licensed content when this placed on vendor & client's website too. Will Google penalize the client's site for this ?

Content bought only for specfic section of website so rest of content is original & written by us
But our DA is 55 & Vendor's DA is 94 . Is this a reason worrry for us because Vendor's have more high reputation than us. Is DA a metric for us or Google will also see this ?

Google how deal with licensed content when this placed on vendor & client's website too. Will Google penalize the client's site for this ?
One of my client bought licensed content from top vendor of Health Industry.
This same content is on the vendor's website & my client's site also but on my site there is a link back to vendor is placed which clearly tells to anyone that this is a licensed content & we bought from this vendor.
My client bought paid top quality content for best source of industry but at this same this is placed on vendor's website also. Will Google penalize my client's website for this ?

RE: My Wordpress Tags Are Flagging As Duplicated Content
Hello Daniel Moore, Richard Horvath said right but there is one more solution to remove this issue you can use rel=canonical tags for all TAGS, Categories & Pagination of TAGS & Categories too. I suggest you be careful while creating tags because unnecessary & duplicate tags creation is not a good thing for website.
Personally I avoid to use noindex meta tag for TAGS pages because I want that google should crawl these pages but you can use this noindex tag for next pages of TAGS.
All the best
