I just joined as a Pro member and am fascinated by all the strategies. I was wondering what your opinion is on where to get started. I am familiar with SEO, but am interested in strategies and techniques people use to make the process easier, more effective, etc.
I just ran a report from the SEOmoz diagnostic survey and was surprised to see errors. How did I fix these errors? Thanks in advance for your help, I have been pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness and responsiveness of this community:
Errors:
5XX (server error)
Overly Dynamic URL
302 Temporary Redirect
Too many on page links (how many is ideal?)
I have a staff of 10 full time people and 8 part time people working on my websites generating dynamic and unique content daily. Been doing this since 2003. We have over 5K indexed pages. There is another site with about 5 indexed pages that ONLY has RSS feeds on our site (one of which are articles from our site). How in the world do they have a higher domain authority than us?
Thanks, I looked there before postign and didn't see anything specific to bolding text
I remember a few years ago, bolding text was important for the search bots, is this still the case?
I don't even use Adwords anymore. The problem with Adwords was it costs abotu 80 cents to 1.10 per click. I am selling a book and the profit margin is only a few dollars. So unless 100% of the people who clicked on my ads purchased the book, it was seriously ripping into my ROI
With the Pro tools at SEOMoz, how do you know if your going after the right keywords on your website and do any of the tools suggest keywords you should be going after?
